    Bedlington x

Jerry, did you Change your mind over pure bred Bedlington? Or have you had this dog a while ?.
  2. We’ve had young rabbits since late January.
  3. Cracking pics Northernlite, what part of Scotland are you?.
  4. how’s dogs fitness doing any improvements?.
  5. I’ve had a Bedlington terrier bitch 16 inch x whippet/greyhound 22-23 inch, my dog pup made 22 inch to the shoulder.
  6. Pup looks healthy from pics and I am sure he will be in the flesh, merles are very popular and for good reason there are very attractive especially blue ones.when you go visit the pup and your happy with him then buy him, take no notice of some of the comments on here, keeps us updated with his progress.good luck.
  7. Fingers crossed he’s much better now, they gave him simparica which made a big difference in under 24 hr. I hope it’s just been a blip as he’s strong typical terrier but I will keep an eye on him.cheers.
  8. Morton, it’s the same with who ever most buy a pup from, most end up with turds because they are not dog men, I know dozens with terriers, lurcher & especially gun dogs who’s dogs are shite and it’s not the dogs fault.Hancock has produced tens of thousands of pups he’s been at it 30 yrs.
  9. I’ve bought a pup off Hancock late 80s and the place was abit of a shit tip but I found David Hancock honest he made no wild claims about his dogs unlike some other dog men,I liked my dog he wasn’t perfect but he could catch rabbits and was trained to a very good level, I don’t know if would buy another from him mainly because of the amount of pups he breeds but I believe a lot of his success is down to the fact he has very little competition, cos let’s be honest there’s some real shite for sale off so called dog men which come complete with a pack of lies about the dogs ability.for me Hancock
  10. Turns out the itchy skin was caused by a parasite called Demodex canis, its unusual for it to be passed from dog to dog and is most likely caused by the upset of leaving its Dam and other pups as pups immune systems are low at this point, I had never heard of it.
  11. Smart pup, good luck with him.
  12. There’s a lad on here in the ratting posts that’s use a Westie with some success so maybe there’s a working Cairn terrier out there.
  13. Very attractive pups, hope yours does well.
  14. Looks nice didn’t you get 2 pups?.
  15. Ok I’ve had a similar problem but it wasn’t in between the pads.
  16. Is it the dogs pads or his feet?.
  17. Pal , is that a word that’s widely used in the USA ?.
  18. Have you heard the expression in boxing “the boxer lost that fight on the road “ meaning they have been doing too much road work (running)and worn them selves out before the fight.Rest is a massive part of fitness training and maybe 4-5 miles behind the quad every day is abit too much for the bigger dog, rest him up for a while and see how he goes.
  19. 17 meters that’s taller than a 3 bedroom semi! I’ve been in mines road ways closer to the service than 17 mtr and that’s no joke.
  20. I’ve had 3 Bedlingtons and only 1 of them ever caught rabbits on a regular basis and that was in rough cover brambles etc, they are miles behind a rabbit out in the open,go for a Bedlington x whippet like other lads have said if you want a dog that can catch rabbits out in the open.
  21. Rillington dogs have not been kc reg for around 20 yrs I know this because I probably had the last full Rillington kc dogs, at the time I found the odd dogs that were said to be Rillington bloodlines but they turned out to have some Rillington blood but it would be a lie to say they were Rillington dogs, that’s why I had to outcross to a real Rillington outcross 1/8 border.why do you need a KC dog? .
  22. I’ve just had a pup done a 8 weeks then 10 for 2 nd jab, vets said pups have to be a minimum of 8 weeks for first jab.
