  1. Is there a age limit of to young to use Cephelexin on a pup?...also, will it help with a urinary infection?.. Many thanks.. Kye..
  2. The bitch we have is a South East Asian Ovcharka,...the very reason we didnt get a Malinois, Rottie or Shepard, is because i didnt want to have to train it, and its going to be a yard dog...NOT used for attacking people, finding bombs and drugs!...i have neither the skill, ability, time or motivation to want to train a dog of this type...i ahve running dogs and terriers, that is enough...i train alot, and when im not doing that, im working... This type of dog will just lay there, on the porch...it wont kill stock when it gets bored, or bite the kids when they stay in the summer, because i
  3. In my exsperiance, a fox is much easier for a dog to deal with,... Ive seen a dog, that came from england, who some would class as a hard dog,..he was on a load of fox in England, and killed his first at 11 months....if he could get upto his fox, and the dig was over 20 minutes, the fox was dead...he was always to grips with earth dwelling game... He killed his first coon (about 20lbs) the second coon he saw (27.5lbs) he was with for 2.5hrs...that coon made him bay for the first time, although it was only for a minute or two at most...the dog has since become a very reliable worker, a
  4. Sorry for the late reply mate...yeah, it was the Izuzu!...seriously a FANTASTIC motore mate, beat the shit outta it, and never let us down...over terrian that had other trucks stuck easily!.. Kye..
  5. Hi Guys,.. I have a Ruger 10/22 and i have used the cheaper red dot sights on it, one was great, then i dropped it and it broke, and i havent had much use with other ones ive tried... Im after a scope that can take alot of stick, as the rifle will be a truck gun, that is driven around on all terrian, getting knocked about a fair bit etc...would prefer some mag on it, 3-9 or 4-12 or summat like that...it would be used alot at night as well, so a illuminated reticle would be great, but not essential...any idea on good mounts as well?...summat real strong to help hold zero?... Also,
  6. Nevada was a great place to hunt hares and rabbits, and there was yotes everywhere mate, but in places i would run a dog...the ground was mental...we killed a bunch of hares and rabbits on the dry lake beds, and the sage brush that was surrounding it...way more to go at here though mate...rabbits, possoms (waste of time!) raccoons, fox, coyotes, feral cats etc...and the good thing is, nobody likes any of that gear on there land!... In the season, when we are full swing, we are out at night three or four times a week with the big dogs, and get out twice a week with the terriers, although m
  7. Well done to the dog,...ive seen more meat on a butchers apron though!..lol.
  8. Hello mate, hows it going? Pm me some pics of what you have been upto when you get a chance mate, be great to see what going on your side!...we are done hunting the raccoons here now, got out last night though, and we shot a skunk, and killed five feral cats...we seen a coyote, but couldnt get on him, which was a shame...roll on next season! Jay..
  9. Hi Guys,.. I was BIG into this when i lived in Vegas,..we used to hunt for carp and catfish in lake mead...i couldnt get shit at first, but after about four months, and going about three times a week, i was killing at 15 feet deep...my best kill was on a 14lbs catfish, and that was at 23 foot deep...it can hurt your ears like mad though!..lol. You have to be careful for SWB (shallow water blackouts)...this can happen when you are up and down, up and down too quick, and not spending enough time at the surface breathing steadily...i would personaly not go unless diving with a friend, i
  10. 96k is f**k ALL mate!...lmao...mine ran like brand new and it had done 368.000!!!...i do NOT maintain my vehicahls either...always drving around with low/no oil, same with water in the rad, low air in tires...running on fumes etc, etc...i went straight through a telephone pole with it, and bent it in half like a boomarang...it sat in the drive for five months in the winter, and i turned the key, started FIRST time, like new...our neighbor brought it off of us foe $350, he cut the top off of it, and sold it to a guy in St.Louis for $650... I would own another in a heart beat, never got it

Hope you enjoy future trips mate, and enjoy the great sport to be had this side of the pond!...there is a ton of gear to go at! Kye,..
  13. I skinned 8 raccoons the other night, three of which had been killed buy a Pit Bull,...to say it was off putting would be an understatment!...with hares and rabbits, if you do 'em as soon as killed, its like peeling a banana!...dont realy need a knife once you got it down...good job though. Kye..
  14. Never seen the dog in the flesh mate...just make sure you take some salt with you!..lol.
  15. The dogs name is 'Dudley', or summat like that 'aint it? Kye..
  16. Ive seen a dog do a five minute run, catch and carry back, then about 10 minutes later, do a five minutes and thirty second run, catch and carry back...the dog had run a hare before he caught these two for two minutes, but lost it in sage about 3 foot deep...the dog done two out of three runs that day... Kye,..
  17. Hi Guys,.. I recently got gifted two pups, one is a male from Hoss1 of this this site,...ive called him 'Monkey', and he is probably the best acting terrier pup ive had...he is 1/8th Bull, and his sire is a good, honest worker, and they mated him to his half sister...Hoss1 very kindly offered me this pup, after my main dog 'Agro' had surgery, and may not recover back to working health again (although i have my fingers crossed!)... I also have a bitch pup gifted to me from a dog man in CA, and she is a first cross (50% Bull, 50% Felltype) i called her 'Pandora', but we call her 'Pan'
  18. Hi Geogia,.. What sort of size is that dog?...height/weight?...wots the dam and sire seen, or been tested on?...you can PM if you prefer mate... Cheers,,.. Kye..
  19. Hi Bud,.. I have little to no exsperiance of these collars, although ALL the guys that hunt hounds that i know of (especially coyote hunters) use a collar like the ones your talking about...the Garmin gps ones are supposed to be the Role Royce of tracking collars, and are supposed to be VERY good!...im sure they would be ideal for what you do. There are a few guys on this site that are Americans, and i would try and contact either STUNTMAN, or UpHillDoc...they might be able to tell you more mate...sorry i couldnt help more, and good luck! Kye..
  20. I had HUGE problems with it at school, and hated it as a result,...it hasnt stopped me doing anything though...i can remember having to wear f*****g glass' with different coloured lenses, and getting the piss taken outta me summat wrotten!... It wont stop anyone do anything though...anyone that says other wise is a f*****g liar...there are people with ho legs, running f*****g marathons, and people that are blind, and can still 'see' using other senses...everyone wants a handycap these days...its a f*****g joke! Jay..
  21. We will deffo be up for a trip again next season guys!...i got a bunch of pups to bring on this summer!...im dreading it!..lol..i dont hunt in the summer, just a bit of fishing etc, so my summer is gonna be stock breaking, training, and then getting them all fit!...my wife has a sighthound pup, and i got one coming from Doc in Idaho, plus two terrier pups, and a yard dog pup!...when it rains, it pours!...FFS!...lol. Jay,..
  22. How long is a piece of string mate!?..lol. If you dig them with all out bayers, that want to sit 8" away, and sing, they are not much hassell imo,...if you want to see the best (or WORST!) from a Raccoon, you should dig them with a mixer, or a gritty type of dog...they are much harder than a fox, imo, and have the hide/fat/body of a Badger...they have FIVE weapons (four hands and a mouth full of good teeth) and will ball up on a dogs head...plus they have the I.Q of a monkey!..lol..i have seen a 25lbs raccoon run through tunnels in a hay loft with two dogs hanging off of it...and it was m
  23. Yeah, it was nice to have you back mate, and as i have said, you are welcome at our home, when ever you want, for as long as you want mate!.. It was kind of RC1 to get us out for the day...that last dig was a real test, for man, dog and quarry!...i was happy with young Cadno, he done well given that he is a first season dog...the summer should hopefully do him good, and then next season he can have all he wants!..lol. Good craic...it took us four and half hours to get there, and about seven to get home!...FFS!!..LOL. Cheers for putting it up mate.. Jay..
  24. .."Drive it like you stole it baby!"...lol. Cant wait to get a sump guard on old 'Betty-II'...lol...i honestly didnt even see that wash out until the car was in it!..lol. First thing i said was..."f**k, the wifes gonna kill me!"...lol. Jay.
