  1. you bred her to her full brother So?...why is that bad?
  2. Its summat me and the wife are thinking about doing to be honest,...we could taylor make the trips etc...if you are into coursing, i wouldnt want to take you digging for most of the trip!..lol...just like if you like your earth dogs, you 'aint gonna wanna see the big dogs go!...we could preaty much cater for what the people/guests are into...more or less of what people wanted, or just the sighthounds, or just the terriers etc...we had the thought after RatKillah from this site came for three weeks, and we took 101 head of game when he was here...and that included the works, from voles, through
  3. Skipping a day of feeding can be good sometimes, but we never skip feed pups, or dogs that are recovering, or lactating mothers...
  4. Ours get fed twice a day,...mon/wed/fri they get veg and extra fats as well...other wise its raw meat/bones...if there out in the day, they skip breakfast, if out at night, they skip supper...fed once they have done there job...that with plenty of water...when the chickens are laying well, they will get egg yolks as well, and when the wifes garden is going well, they fairly help themselves!..lol..plus we have apple trees and they pick them and eat 'em aswell...maybe give 'em extra if its been a supper hard day or night, dont feed kibble or canned. Kye..
  5. How many of you would consider hunting holidays?...say, from the UK to America... How much would you guys be willing to pay, for a week, staying in a log cabin, 3 hot meals served to you each day, digging fox, american badger and raccoons with terriers,...coursing jack rabbits (american hare) on the snow strewn high praire of Wyoming with Staghounds and Saluki hybrids....driving in a rig across fields that would make the fens seem like paddocks, and watching american staghounds, course catch and kill coyotes...or maybe riding out on american mustang horses, with a few long dogs trotting b
  6. Ive said it before, and i will say it again!,...AWESOME looking dogs, would love to see 'em on a coyote or Bobcat! Kye..
  7. I will get 'His Wife' to put some pics up of my Blister dog...NEVER looked at stock, and he did take a while to get good on toothed critters, but now he is ON them, and deals with them in a manner that makes it look easy, when bigger, stronger dogs just hack away at the job, taking punishment etc..lol. He is so LOYAL!,...that dog would die for me, and to be honest, the older he is getting, the better the bugger is!...he is like a fine Wine!..lol. Like i said, i REALY like the dog, and it would be cool to get a REAL deerhound for him to go over, and continue a line of handy dogs, that
  8. JigSaw and Shane, you can BOTH go to hell!...lmao,..i would LOVE one of them pups!...one things for sure, it wouldnt be sat on the porch, it would be to busy working!..lol. I have a male Staghound (Blister) and he is VERY much the type that has thrown to the old Deerhound...he does resemble one, but he acts like one as well...my bitch is REALY like the old Deerhound, although she is minus a tail from work...she is like a missle on game. They are such great, noble kinda dogs, a suprisingly strong and determined on toothed game as well!...what i like about them the most, is the complet
  9. If its the guy i think it is, he is happy with it!...i seen a pic not to long ago of a bitch, and it looked like it had been jaw-to-jaw with a buzz saw...turns out it was a Coyote, which is just as bad i guess!..lol..looked a nice stamp of dog! Cheers mate,.. Kye..
  10. Hi Wood1,.. When we get that dog going strong, on the game that i think he will be able to take, you are welcome to come over and have a holiday,... Kye,..
  11. Ive seen a few Wolf hybrids over here,...one was crossed with a Malamute, and it was well over 185lbs!!!...it was a sight to see, i can tell you...all of them have one thing in common though...they are WILD!...skittish, shy, wild, f****d in the head waste of spaces, created to sell to guys with perms, fake tans, and calf implants!...a total "Honestly, i have a HUGE cock!" mans kind of fashion statement...the Malamute X Wolf that i held on a leash, i felt SOOO bad for...it reminded me of a dog at the vets, KNOWING its gonna get PTS!...it was terrified of everything, wheel spinning on the floor
  12. Did the bitch go to Idaho?...to a guy named Larry?... Is Shane not on this site Jigsaw?...i would call and have a chat with him, but i only have a mobile phone, we dont have a landline, and it would cost me a FORTUNE!... I would love to have a Deerhound that was a PROPER Deerhound...ive always liked them!...would be great to see a lone Deerhound, tearing off after a single coyote, over some snow strewn praire, and kill him handsomely!...man, THAT would be good to get on DVD!... I would love to talk dogs with the guy though! Jay..
  13. If i had the money (never gonna happen!) i would get the biggest male pup and bring it over to America, could see what they would be like on jack rabbits (hares), raccoon, badger, coyotes, bobcats, maybe even a wolf...be a nice type to put over my female, 'Tor'...she is 31" and apart from missing a tail (had to have it cut off, after she broke it twice chasing heavy game) she looks like the old style wolfhound/deerhound type....a light fawn/wheaten colour though...great feet, bags of stamina, and a bit "bitey" on toothed game!..lol. Good to see REAL dogs of that type,.. Kye..
  14. I agree Topper, a badger could well be the suspect!...they will dig fast in the soil you have up there mate! Kye..
  15. Kye

    RatKillah,..

    As above you dick head!
  16. I used to live in wiltshire, and there was a lad that was local to me, and he done 173 roe, in his last season with a 3/4 Grey 1/4 Border Collie...he could have done many, many more though, they where everywhere!... Kye..
  17. The hardest hares i have seen, have been the White-tailed jack rabbit (Hare) run in the state of Wyoming!...takes some dog to do them single-handed, daytime!...there hard as f**k on the lamp!..lol. Kye..
  18. Any info would help guys,...the dog is the best terrier ive had...i cant NOT work him, he is the type that NEEDS to be worked regular, and im not wanting to cull him because of a bum hip joints...want i would realy like, is get some form of surgery done on him, then full rest until NEXT season...then carry on as normal. Realy need help/advice on this one... Jay..
  19. Hi MR,.. The male brindle staghound in the pictures is mine,...in his first season in the desert, he was about 19 months he done 73 hares single handed, MANY more doubled up, and many, many more on the lamp...he has done 2/3, daytime, run solo...one run being 5.30min long, the other being about 5mins...both retreaved. Ive been on the dales, and its hilly...its tough terrain for the UK...but it is NOTHING compared to the deserts of south western america...rock, scree, cactuss, joshua trees etc make for VERY hard ground...the ground is baked clay, and the weather that baked it is often
  20. Black Panthers are melanistic variants of Leopards,....but you CAN get black Mt.Lions (also known as Cougars, Pumas etc).. Ive no doubt that a pair of decent Bullx would hold a 22-23" big cat....Mt.Lions over here have been taken with Staghounds...there was a dog in New Mexico named 'Joe', he was the Uncle to my Tor bitch...the guy that owned him was out calling yotes, with a distress sound....the dog ran off into the brush, and a battle-royal started...the guy ran over and his dog had a 70lb Cougar/Mt.Lion buy the throat...he didnt shoot, coz he was scared of hitting the dog...after a
  21. We have tried that, and it still makes that bleeping!...i hate the noise as well, although it sounds like sweet music compared to that shitty f*****g Space-Invaders game, that Deben call the LRT!... Kye,..
  22. Its a shame, but it can happen...i think most of us have had it happen. So the dog broke into the other dogs kennel, and the dog whose kennel got invaded, killed the intruder?...is that right?...imo, if thats the case, i think culling the dog for it is a little harsh to be honest!... Guys, its nothing personal when dogs fight!...they are ANIMALS!...you can have two pups outta the same litter, play, be best friends, work togther etc...if they have a fight (not a squabble!) a proper fight, and one dies, then thats it...the other dog didnt plan it all out!..lol...they re-act to certain
