I’m not trying to ruin anyone post. However ..... there is defiantly a bit of a trend which almost suggests that if you feed kibble you are feeding your dog badly and it will be shit. It’s not really the case, and especially when it comes to pups, a good quality kibble fed ad lib alongside meat regularly is a safe and easy way to ensure a pup gets everything it needs and grows well. Seen folk talking about £60 bags of kibble and weighing out multiple different bits of things in %s . I totally get why folk go that way, but for nearly all of us, performance wise, it would be ok to

I like to feed my dogs well and to condition them etc. But in all honesty how many folk over complicate it and act as if their dog is getting 100 runs a night. Mine just get a good kibble with additional meat that I have about, usually lamb, mutton or venison. Im sure I’ll upset some hero or other ?

Fashion. Most folk don’t know what they need, they also don’t know what does the job....... but they know what the fashion is and what looks good and what is said to be good. And they really really want that because if they buy it, it will make them good to. They get it and then don’t really use it, need it or can’t figure out how it works...... Same with most types of dog, in fact most types of thing.

It’s life I guess ...... but it’s always a bit irritating when you love somewhere and can’t get shooting and see the sign written brand spanking new pick up roll in with some slightly clueless bloke with all of the gear from the middle of the city jump out, shoot a couple deer and get driven back from whence he came ......

I find anything like that irritating. We have it here - the “professionals” come in and offer big bucks and take the shooting and then the actual shooting is all sold to folk from London who pay top dollar to shoot. There isn’t really a ceiling to what they can charge the rich kids, so there isn’t a ceiling to what they can offer the landowner and so it goes .

Dam is a saluki bull grey and sire is a lurcher x lurcher with good dose of saluki - both sore and dam bred out of the same dog. And neither look at all like coursing dogs. If that makes sense.
