  1. Yer.. . . .. but you're a plum.
  2. He sadly died at seven mat, but i had to retire him about five and he lived out his days lying on the sofa with my nan and running around my folks place getting in trouble. Never really got to the bottom of it, but he had a very full working life up till retirement, had a lot of smashes and was put back together a lot. When I moved to the land of the big fields and the hare, it just wasn't fair on him. As fun as it was running them with him, he wasn't right by then, and there were so many he'd just run himself into the ground everytime we left the house. So he went home to hunt the rabbits, ra
  3. I had a pure whippet, got him early 2010. That dog was a little machine, he had prey drive and heart to spare, lot of wind, speed, anything you could ask for. He was a wee bit independently minded lol, and could hunt like a hound. He would fly into absolutely anything, of any size, up to and including a big fallow buck (which he obviously couldn't stop). If I could have him again now, I would snap your hand off, but i dont know if id get another like him, so I've never had another one. Few members on here saw him run, and a I believe a few may have pups out of him still. RIP Finn.
  4. This pup does loads of weird things lol. He's just a weirdo saluki. But he is certainly fast and strong and has good feet so we shall have a good go at start of next season. Although I'm sure he will self enter over summer.
  5. I think you struggle to beat a good terrier for bushing, lots of hound type xs have become fashionable but a lot are wrong dog on the wrong ground to be honest. Not all terriers drop in, and certainly not all stay. You just got to be ready for the odd emotional 'moment' lol.
  6. Looking very good mate. Not measured mine in a while but think he’d be a tad shorter than yours. He’s just figured here’s here for a specific job ? and it early signs are an indicator I’d say he’s going to take to it well.
  7. Don’t often post on here.... But if you know, you know.
  8. Just shows you, you got to be very careful if you're going to slag folk off, it usually comes back to them fairly quick!
  9. Nice to see some interesting posts about hunting dogs. Getting rarer by the day.
  10. Think that’s part of it and also why go first x now when there are decent bull blooded lurchers about doing the job at hand.
  11. The answer is fairly long winded. But Russel type things, border and lakey influence. Busher x busher.
  12. Thanks all. The little Tan bitch is staying and has been called Wiggle. There might be a spare pup there if the right person and home arose ..... not entirely sure yet.
  13. One gone to its new home last weekend, one tomorrow. I think the mrs has done a good job of them.
  14. funny story. My ground is terrible for feet, the dog that had the least foot problems was my half x type bull grey .......
