    But not necessarily to folk they don’t know or don’t know how much they do. We’ve a bitch in pup. Scanned for five. Might be one or two more. There were homes for 10 pups before the lining took place. The pups that are born will be gifted to mates who will graft them. I will have one, owner of sire and owner of dam and one of their respective friends of Choice. There are always a lot of pups about but rarely enough of the ones everyone wants if you know what I mean.

    I spent an hour or so tonight in the dark with a head torch on, in the woods with the three bushers and two Lurchers. It’s good crack even if you don’t have a clue what’s going on sometimes ?

    To be fair and looking at it from the other side - the ban has a lot to do with the behaviour of some folk now. Realistically the reason some folk drive the land, is if you’re in the middle of one of the 100-150 acre fields here on foot and it comes on top, you’re had. If you leave your motor if might get busted on busted up, so you drive, it comes on top you drive off, across whatever you have to. Same with leaving stuff, if you’re gonna lose your dog and motor you aren’t going to take three poxy hares home but will ditch them maybe, and so it goes. Not saying it’s right but if there wasn’t a

    It’s a funny old world. I upset everyone. I like country folk, and I tell both sides - if you’re driving about at night smashing shit up to throw your dog at something you’ve knackered with the motor you ain’t a country man, and if you’re anti hunting with dogs you ain’t a country man either, because it’s been here longer than most modern farming etc. So yer, no one likes me ? but I don’t care.

    100%, but it’s mad the police abs media have made it so if you ask anyone what then lads were doing last night it is always ‘coursing’. We never ever ever (ok maybe 3 times in 6 years) get anyone walking the land in the day, but night time driving after the hares is probably couple times a week, or every single day around harvest ? went through about 8 new permanent high tensile electric fences the other day we’d just put up ? got to laugh to be fair ? they never catch many hares but they three lots on foot I’ve met all had caught so go figure!

    That’s my point mate, just saying that generalisations about farmers are probably as untrue as generalisations about hare coursers. I do both ? Like everything - I give the animals I farm the best possible life and treat them with respect (outside whole life, grass reared etc etc) and I give the quarry I hunt the same respect and as good a life and end as I can. The truth is in life there are some folk just c**ts and they be cu**s if they be farming or coursing.

    You honestly never come across the idiots ? It 100% happens, but when they say hare coursers they mean lads lamping out of a motor. They play a bit of havoc around here but then it’s like wacky races sometimes with the keepers and pikies so the rest of us stay out of it ?

You can’t really claim all farmers raise animals in squalid conditions any more than I can say because you course hares you are an inbred pik*e c*nt who robs red diesel, robs quads, steals cash machines and f*cvs his sister ....... Ya get me ? The rural police forces are out for an easy win, getting to act all moody in his stab vest and stubble, in reality they are totally avoiding the real issues and chasing lads chasing big bunnies. However when some of the lads that do it act how they do you can’t really expect any Khmer result sadly.

    Something I've done with my last two pups which I think has made a world of difference, i just spent a fair bit of time mooching about at night with them off the lead, getting used to being with me in the darkness, of coming in when called and all that stuff, chase a few bits they knock up in the head torch etc. But more the daft stuff like under gates, over fences, etc etc.
