  1. Used to do it back in the 's, could put 2 and a 1/4 ounce of shot through my Spanish double 10. Black powder only 'cos you needed a licence for Nitro I think. Cheers, D.
  2. Checkout Cathy, the girl with the specs from the animal sanctuary. Bet she'll be practising her necking when she gets back!
  3. Good on you mate. There isn't a fox worth the life of a good dog. Cheers, D.

Seen them at Maine Road in the 's. Awesome, more classic tracks than any other band going. Cheers, D.
  5. A lurcher is "traditionally" a sighthound (grey, whippet, saluki, afghan(!), borzoi (!) etc etc crossed with a working or pastoral dog (collie, Alsation, Beddy,) etc etc. and a long dog is Lurcher to Lurcher mating or sight hound to sight hound, ie Saluki/Grey or so I was brought up to believe. Cheers, D.
  6. amen to that, you get what you pay for,if its for pleasure about a field then maybe i would buy one and take a chance.but if for work, you need a strong, reliable workhorse that wont be laid up while waiting for some taiwanese part to be sent. I bought a new Chinese Loncin 250 quad about 18 months ago. Got it fom a local agricultural merchants with full warranty. It's got a Yam 250 engine, 2WD with reverse and tow ball and racks, all road legal and have a had a few niggles, (broken indicator relay, slipping gears, exhaust coming loose) but for £2300 OTR (inc. Vat) I've had great service f

    muck boots

Just spent 48 quid this morning on a new pair, the Esk. Holed one of the others big style on a piece of granite. Two years old and still going strong although the heel socks wear out. They are warm, comfy but a bit slippy, especially when walking across a wet sloping grass field. Cheers, D.
  8. Cod liver oil, brewers yeast, garlic, fresh cooked vegetables.
  9. If your road legal you don't need a lid on the road either. Cheers, D.
  10. Well done mate! Great name for a dog but he looks a bit too young to be running on hard ground. Take it steady. Cheers, D.

  13. I think i've made it quite clear what the situation is!!!!! But for those who are not sure, Markbrick has got the ball in his court, now he can either give the lad a break and be sporting by giving his dog a chance to heal, or he can say no its gotta be run on the 6th.......if W.H's dog cant run by end of january, then the decision will be taken away from them and Mark will go through on a BYE.........does that clear it up for you??? I'm sure MB will wait until the other dog is as fit as can be at the appointed date to ensure a fair contest. He does like a bet but he is a sportsman
  14. Get a Jimny mate, not much room in the back but go anywhere and 30+ mpg and fairly cheap isurance, £115 a year to tax and cheap to maintain plus very reliable. HTH. Cheers, D.
  15. Try putting her in the car without the engine running for twenty minutes or so several times and then start the engine but don't move the car. Try this several times, maybe giving her a treat to get her to associate the car with "good times." HTH. Cheers, D.
  16. If that's all you've had so far I'd sell it on...............
