  1. A couple of weeks ago a member on here, RedLorryYellowLorry posted a request for a night or two out as his hunting partner kept letting him down. Via a few PMs and phone calls we arranged for him to come down for a shine last night. We met at the arranged place and exchanged greetings, both us and dogs and loaded into mine and away to the first bit of permission. Weather started off perfect and we had had 5 when the hail came down so we finished that patch and moved on. RLYL admitted that his bitch was not fit and I thought she looked a bit heavy but she was keen as mustard and didn't miss
  2. I've only seen and held one of these, not lamped with one, but it's definitely on my Christmas list! They're very light weight. http://www.northeastfieldsports.co.uk/lamp...y-pack-151.html Out of stock on NEF site though Thanks for that SS, nice kit but a bit pricey and would really prefer a 14 or 17ah one, otherwise would need to buy two!! Cheers, D.
  3. I usually use the blazer light or the lazer light with few problems with the lamps. It's the batteries that hack me off. Whats the best battery pack available?

  13. Nightime it's easy. Daytime I find it easier to spot a white dog in the field at a distance. Unless it's in a field full of sheep or foxhounds! Cheers, D.
  14. Heres a quick snap of Saturday's gathering. Weather came in very misty and stayed that way. Had a bit of sport but conditions were a lot worse than the photo suggests. Cheers, D.

  19. They are the "best" sort of Cornish hedges, no big stones and no Yew or Hawthorn or Blackthorn on top! The hob is the smaller fert of the 2. Cheers, D
  20. All my dogs get 3 to 5 miles a day normally on soft tracks and fields but I try to give them at least 1/2 mile a day for the aforementioned reasons. Cheers, D.

  24. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had a free morning yesterday so decided to have a couple of hours out with the ferrets. Weather was kind which was good as I was doing a few Cornish hedges which I couldn't dig in the event of a lie up. First banking about a dozen nets down and a couple of nice handy bolts. Moved down the bank and a single followed by one immediately afterwards from the same hole which eluded the dog and went into the previously worked bury. I decided to let this one have his day and moved on. I had purposedly not brought too many nets as I didn't want to get too involved
  25. Yeah, me too but it's an opportunity for somebody.
