September is the best month in Cornwall imo, great weather, fabulous colours in the countryside and on the coast. Most of the families of holiday makers have f****d off and there's less manic activity in the pubs, on the beaches and on the roads. Pasties are usually the best from any local butchers, Ginsters are shite, as are Proper Cornish. Philps or Hamptons from Hayle are usually top notch, as are Portreath Bakery's or Barnecutts. ? It's jam first on scones before any of those Devonians tell you otherwise.? Cheers, D.

When Eden started up back along you could get a locals pass and go in and see the construction happening. £3 with a photo ID card. When it opened you got a years pass for £30, just a swipe card, no photo. We rented ours out for a fiver a time ? Cheers, D.

Exactly Charts, lass next door, finished a gamekeepers job and moved back in with mother atm, went for an interview a few weeks back wearing brogues, jeans, Tattersalls check shirt, pheasant pattern tie and tweed waistcoat. Don't think she's got it cos her and her 4 spaniels are still here ? Cheers, D.
