  2. Good shooting... i havent seen that many rabbits on my perm this year. FF
  3. My perm asked me to start ferreting today... not looking forward to it. Over grown nettles and brambles everywhere not to mention all the fern its like a carpet. FF
  4. Thats what ive got at the moment... I mean so the tray (high sided) slides in through a gap the length of the hutch so you pull it out to empty the whole lot. Like the dog and it looks like the rabbits still alive FF
  5. Im thinking of making a new hutch for the end of the court... But i think that using plastic trays as the bottom so i can just pull them out to empty into the wheel barrow would save time when cleaning out. FF
  6. Saw this the other day on another forum... Made me chuckle FF
  7. Nice one... What are they like? FF
  8. I would of shot them too... Bet they taste good, look like this years youngters. A quick question... off topic. If youve got a rabbit in your crosshairs and see that it looks like it has survided mixxy. What would you do? Shoot or not? FF
  9. After finishing the stock for the hw97k and fitting the action back in... I went out this morning to check zero. After adjustments were made i went for a wonder getting abit late in the morning and getting warm, i decided to sit under an old oak tree for a little feet up time. I hadnt seen a rabbit, then one popped her head out from the fence line a quick side focus adjustment to 35 meters 1.50 mildots of hold over and a thud in the shoulder saw one into the bag. The rifles unadjustable cheek comb set perfectly for me has made a massive difference to the gun, now its
  10. Is it me or does a thumbhole stock make you feel like you have a more confident hold over the rifle? Nice shooting and love seeing a dog retrieve. FF
  11. As i was reading through the posts ithought... There is no chance his waiting till saturday to pick this up. And good on you too, now you got to get out and do some paper punching. Let us know how you get on... The poor pests in your area dont know whats coming. FF
  12. Adjustable butt pad next i think... the pad sits a little low in the shoulder. FF
  13. The engraving/stipling was done with a 6 inch nail ground to a point and one ground like a chisel and my initials put into it. Then lightly sanded... suprisingly grippy. (I think i put a post up before) I put the stock extension on because i felt the length of trigger pull wasnt correct and after it felt alot better. Thanks for offering to send some alloy rods down. How would you have fitted them? The idea was to make it personal to me which ive done for sure, plus one of the kids has the same initials. So its his when ive snuffed it. FF
  14. The stock was varnished looked carp. So took it back to original Then stained with light oak stain. FF
  15. To be fair i did think of alloy rods but i had no means of getting them. Its strong 16mm dowell I have no money. And i thought the all wood would look nice. I can always paint them silver! FF
  16. Here we go... im happy with it. It does the job eye through scope is perfect now.
  17. Ive got some pics to put up later... Its not too bad. FF
  18. Is it the new type bsa mag or the old type? My mate had an old type that used to jam up... but on AA fields
  19. Has any body attemped to make one themselves? Ive got a hw97 sitting in a hw77 stock designed for iron sights use. So eye to scope alignment is not the best. I plan to raise the cheek rest by about an inch. Im not going to make it adjustable im just going to use dowells cut to the correct length. I think... To be continued... FF
  20. Yeah i did all that and started a new thread... Range board part 2 I managed to get all my hold over points on all guns. Just need a good day to go out and check them. FF
  21. Got any pictures?... As my mother in law has gone missing. FF
  22. Nice one... thanks phil. Using jsb heavies 10.34gn my 60 yard hold over is 9 mildots. 20x màg FF
  23. What zero are you at with that? what magnifacation do you use? and how many mildots hold over are you? FF
