  2. Well done Nath got her in the end ,good lamping too .
  3. Using FTT in .22 in my B.S.A springer loves them ,well done for finding what you need ,around here it,s pick n mix when shopping for pellets .What,s in today doesnt always get restocked which is frustrating when the rifles got a taste for a certain weight and make of pellet
  4. It,s been raised on another forum it was a home made ,badly made powerful air rifle so sorry for the lads parents but mr coroner how the hell would airgun license laws stop this.It was HOME made not shop bought ,u cant legislate against a man with a lathe . A sad storey witha knee jerk reaction
  5. Some FAC holder,s would ruin your perm as well ,mine,s lamp shy central thanks to clowns which the owners did warn me about ,so ive now got a yukon and a thermal as the first hint of a lamp and their off faster than Jordan,s knickers
  6. Good man some beeep beeps would have shot the fox and wondered why theyre weary of any one with a rifle .You did the right thing now its time to get some rabbit pie going
  7. Frying pan on ,bit of garlic ,some onion maybe a drop of white wine and a pitta bread
  8. Nice day out ,far better than 8 hours making blooming car parts ,role on Sunday and fingers crossed a dry day
  9. Thanks for the info ,been like pulling teeth to find out ,though i did think the 800m range was a touch of disneyland for the money
  10. Any 1 got 1 yet no reviews anywhere , i know its the base model but it is affordable and the only difference is about 100metre range for another 100 quid over the xq30 all other ratings is the same .If you do have 1 are you happy with it atb and thanks in advance
  11. Phil is right second hand is your best bet ,if you can look for a Simmons Whitetail ,or as he said any Hawke or even a Zeiss .There,s a budget scope assembled in the US but the parts are German for about £ .good luck
  12. You is a dangerous man for rabbits to know Nathan ,good arrows as usual, Jess looking good as well .
  13. If Harris prices make you cough ,och yal no be avin a sale ,Debden,s is as good and only 60 quid ,the other 30 will buy a lot of pellets or donuts
  14. Down here Si they thrive far too many of them competing for food and they are everywhere in about a 30 mile radius so here they,re a problem on a grand scale .Very rare for songbirds on the wife,s bird table now it,s pigeon or magpie as theyve reached such huge number,s here. Shame our garden is open for all to see
  15. Nice tool Jimmy, short Mod looks more effective than a "drainpipe" on the barrel
  16. Great offer Dirk and totally understand your reluctance to post free to collect makes sense to me in any language .We work shifts and the post office doesnt plus your giving them away end off .
  17. Someone,s grandad is going to get shown up by his best mate and shooting buddy Phil, get your excuses ready Ethan going to open a can of whuppass as our merican cousins say .Trouble with grandsons they can get bloody good at what you teach them atb
  18. Took me 3 years to get another perm in syndicate land after my last 1 was sold .Dont be put off by knock backs ,even if u start by offering to shoot rats around horse stables /grain silo,s etc .There,s more shooter,s than land so be polite dress smart, dont turn up in combats with a rifle in the car thinking you can shoot straight off . Be insured if your not in BASC or C/a or N.go all organisations that insure you to shoot on farms, animals cost money and make money so farmer,s want to know you are responsible and sensible. Remember Golf courses need Rabbit and fox control ,feed specialists
  19. It does Nath ,every one has an off day,i got guided within 75yds of a 6 point Roe buck last season he was scanning then head down feeding then up and down and i took aim on the up and the milisecond i squeezed the trigger down his head went ,the guide exclaimed in shock my miss literally whizzed over his back by millimetres gutted dont cover it .As expected he went bounding over the nearest hedge at the noise of the shot.. Fair play to showing we can all have a bad day atb
  20. Good result Stoggy ,a few less "parsons" taking songbirds chicks
  21. Sat waiting for a fox thats taking a fancy to the farmers chickens saw plenty plenty rabbits but .243 is a bit overkill for them so il be back with the supersport during the week.Theyre deffo on the way back around hereabouts which is good news for shooters but farmers wont be pleased .Good shooting there Stoggy pity the rains here for a while yet
  22. Well done [BANNED TEXT] ,garden birds need all the help we can give them
  23. On a fox drive Saturday and my friend had 2 of the murdering so n so,s theyre not nice theyre now at plague levels around here and as wiley as a fox.Nowt worst than watching them dismember chicks and fledglings .Most Farmer,s around here want them dealt with asap. If you can get a Larson trap and look for the call bird register ,or just keep your eyes pealed they pop up foc on various forums atb
  24. Tripe utter tripe have .243 for AOLQ incl Fox and small Deer and .308 for Boar and Reds and AOLQ ,i,d say 99 % of Uk shooters have a .243 conditioned for fox .55 grain Hornady in .243 is nighty night princess for Fox .Home office guidelines basically state if you have good reason and are a fit and proper person you can have it providing you have adequate security in place and landowner,s permission to shoot them.
  25. Your all wrong ,Parker Hale 1200 safari in .243 the dogs dangles ,foxes ,deer and paper all dealt with ease
