  1. Nice shooting. Thats the best way to see rats - in front of a reticle There's nowt wrong with that rifle mate. It reminds me of something my dad used to say - 'There's many a good tune played on an old fiddle'. Although, I don't think he was talking about rifles
  2. Nice shot Matt and, well done on the new permission.
  3. The A&M cylinder on my HW100 has a 10yr expiry date. I think it's a good idea considering it holds 200bar of pressure inches from my face.
  4. lovely groups with all those pal. Cheers Matt. I reckon I've been lucky getting this rifle - I don't know if all 100s are the same but, this one really isn't pellet fussy at all. Ooh, I feel a 'This is my rifle, this is my gun....' moment coming on
  5. I had a quick practice before work this morning. Well, more like buggering about - I tried these 3 different pellets one after the other. It's knowing that my rifle will do this consistently that gives me the confidence to go out and aim at live quarry. Without that, I wouldn't hunt. Simple.
  6. That's me, that is - unnaturaly talented. I can put a pellet past a rabbits head and make it jump without harming it at all. And I can prove it - my mate witnessed me do it 4 times in my last 2 outings
  7. Me and my daughter practice almost every other day. We both enjoy it. We'll shoot at anything from paper targets to little plastic men to M&Ms. It means that we can both keep our eye in and, she keeps on top of safety. It also gives her confidence with her rifle.
  8. I'll give that a look. What's the channel called?
  9. I was about to big you up for owning a 510 SL, but it's not yours... Love them superlites. No, it's not mine mate. It is a nice rifle - he does well with it. I did have an Ultimate Sporter for a while
  10. Think it was about 27 pace's.I remember putting two ounce of course b shot in it! your not wrong davei take my hat off to you u, it all becomes clear why the iron sight on the chinky atb si ps... me meatloaf isn't happening any time soon been out again tonight and the woods that thick i can't spot them never mind shoot um Ha, I've been trying to get enough pigeon for that. They must know about the recipe - Ever since it was mentioned, they've gotten good at dodging me
  11. To be honest, I've never thought about it before. I only ever have my 3ltr bottle in the car when going to or from the dive shop. My rifles are only ever in the car when going to or from the range or a permission. I'm not going to mention it - Insurance companies are money grabbing shisters at the best of times - I've never had an accident and I've never had points on my license yet, my premium still went up this year. I'm not giving them any more reason to bend me over.
  12. That was the exact opposite of my night - I had 2 shots at the same rabbit, about an hour apart and, missed it both times It wasn't all that bad though - I got to watch a couple of Muntjac walking about. They got fairly close at one point but, never knew I was there My mate bagged himself a juvenile with his S510.
  13. No worries - You're all welcome Besides, it's pointless having them sat in my box doing bugger all. Atb
  14. Don't belittle what you do mate - That must take some serious skill. I own a couple of flintlock pistols. I've only ever dry fired them. They weigh a ton and the barrels are smooth bore - I'd be lucky to get anywhere near any sort of target with them. Nice shooting
  15. Lol, I was out foxing.....with a flintlock! I thought that was you. I'm sure I've read your posts somewhere else about hunting with a flintlock.
  16. That dog's fantastic I hope you keep putting her in the pics and giving updates on what she's been up to
  17. That's quite some work Mac. It just looked like a nightmare in the first couple of pics. And...... what a bargain!
  18. F**kin' 'ell I hope that never happens to one of mine. I'd be gutted. Good luck with that Mac.
  19. Nice one Phil You should have got them to put a round of drinks on the competition
  20. Spot on Mark. That was my thinking exactly
  21. It probably was a final visit - from your the pics in this post and the last one, I don't think there's anything left to shoot
  22. Hi Phil, No worries, they're yours mate. Hope he's happy with them. Atb. Jon
  23. Good man They're bloody horrible birds. I remember shooting 3 of those once with a mates .25 running at nearly 50ftlb
