    Nice one U When you 'off hand shot', is that standing unsupported? If so, have you got any tips for a decent shot? I do practice mine but, I'm just not consistent enough to take a 30yrd shot at a rabbit.

    Kind of - the knob on top of the screen unit reduces the IR out put so, turning it down when you're close (15/20yrds) does help to reduce the glare. It does white out and glare pretty brightly if you pan round and end up on some close grass or branches. I wear a bit of scrim to try to help me not show up so much when it happens.

    Maybe but, you can't deny that when they're good, they're very good. My little 'un used to love my .22 Airwolf. She was hitting 60yrd metal crows that day Mine was smooth and slick to operate. The only thing that put me off was the service costs and all the electronics. Ps, That's our Davy just behind her Edit: Oops, just noticed the Huggett - That was the .177.

    The bottom rabbit was the first one shot. The pellet went in the right side and exited on the left. ....... and me with the beginnings of my new fur coat.

    Went out to the rugby club for a couple of hours last night. The conditions we're near perfect - very dark and very little wind. I spotted the back of a couple of rabbits just in time to see them disappear into the long grass. I also saw a couple of foxes at the far end so, I knew there'd be nothing going on down there. Eventually, I found my first one in longish grass, up a bank. I walked toward it, keeping a padded goal post between us for cover. When I got there, I put my cheapo shooting stick next to the goal post and rested my rifle. The rabbit was around 40yrds. I could only see

    It could be a state of mind that damaged people retreat into. Both of my grandads were ex-infantry .......... One is quiet and reserved, he told me not to join the army when I left school. He's very rarely spoken about his time in the army. The other (rip), was a right character. He was one of the first people to have plastic surgery at Stoke Mandeville after being shot in the face. He said the best times of his life were in combat. I never did join any of the forces but, I've often wondered about those two.

    It's got absolutely f**k all to do with 'Black Lives Matter'. It's just blacks, half castes and lefty middle class whites with a chip on their shoulder over something that's never effected them. ...... this is why they don't get on in the world - they're always looking for conflict. They thrive on mob mentality. A lot of them are just too primitive to be able to comprehend anything beyond whining or the I'll take it if I want it' mentality.
