    Put a fair few through me mates one day, got good groups at 120yard with the 17gn but it didn’t like the 20’s

    It’s good sport in the winter months, gets you out of the house.. dread to think how many I’ve shot over the years, if the weathers crap I just shoot out of the car! one of the pig farms was riddled with the fcukers, farmer couldn’t believe how many we got on the first visit cos the poison wasn’t working and the pest controller was going mad at the expense and running at a loss, he still keeps a controller so he can get the red tractor but there few and far between now

    Shotguns all the way for me and my mate at the moment as the foxes use the woods and ruts where crops meet cover strips! was out sat night for last few hours of light and an hour into darkness, found an abandoned set that’s got new tenets so sat it out for a bit.. me in cover strip mate in the woods to cover all bases but the wind kept changing so I went for a mooch to watch a well fenced field that I’ve seen foxes coming out of, never saw anything and when walking back to the car there was a bloody fox about ten foot away from an old pallet of bricks that I was going to sit on but opted

    I’m with you 100% on this.. ive been a subby 25 years raised 4kids and never had a penny off the gov.. had no work since lockdown as site shut and hadn’t seen me bird or kids till this weekend... I’ll be applying for the second grant to?

    I know as I generally go in the opposite direction to my mate for that reason, I’ve watched them leg it and he’s not even seen them but he’s picked up on ones sat on glowing muck heaps twenty yards from where I’ve been sat and couldn’t see with the thermal! he waits till Im on the sticks I call the shot he fires the searchlight up that’s that bright they don’t have a clue what’s going on then bang! like you said there are ones that just take off but the majority of the time I shout at them and they can’t help but look back

    nice one sd.. good to see the jim jams still gong strong there is defiantly still a place for the good old lamp.. my mates a lamp lad and 80% of the time a shotgun foxer! I wouldn't be without me thermal for spotting but my mates picked up on a few ive missed out on spotting, there hard to spot in hedges and walking down the tracks but he picks them up no problem with a cheap mega lamp of amazon £25, it picks eyes out like you wouldn't believe! shot a bonus one the other week just as we were putting the kit away, I thought it was a hare but me mate wasn't having it so I got

    I once took an old bait freezer to the tip, granted it did stink as I’d used the strimmer and forgot to plug it back in! it was full of peeler crab and lugs? the bloke wouldn’t let me leave it as he said it was a bio hazard... told him to @@@@ off and left it any way:) even the normal nice people call them the skip hitlers at out tip?

    Idiots!! They recon the fires on sadalwoth moor the other year were started on purpose, look how long it took to get them under control

    Our local council has had to send loads of litter pickers out cos all the beauty spots on the moor look like a sh1thole due to the town tossers dropping all there crap all over? and they’ve had to open the public toilets cos they think you can crap anywhere you like

    I know what you mean about failing eyes, its an ongoing joke with my mates about mine.. I was at the hospital loads as id wrecked the inside of my right one, the doctor said its like id been in a car crash or been boxing a long time.. still not right but I work round it!! knowing of you and a bloke that use to be on here a while ago id say from being an outsider looking in .22 rimfire was designed for you and your style of hunting! and theres the added bonus of ammo being cheap as chips

    It doesn’t take long for them to move shop at the moment.. I was out 3am yesterday, I’m not keen on getting up at that time either! i was covering a specific area and was there about an hour before I saw the newly moved family about 60yrd away living in the bails... the light was a nightmare to light for the lamp and not light enough for me to get a bead on? showed my mate where they were and he went back last night to move them on! one of the many piglets still feel knackered now:(

    It’s a money spinner gav, best way to get round it is put two of the same down on your variation.. one for day one for night vision rig so if your not happy with what you buy you can get rid and get another?

    Don’t know if you’ve seen a bore snake sd but they have about an inch of bronze about four inch from the start of the snake/ bootlace.. I’ve got a fancy one pice rod and all the gubbins for cleaning but when I used the .223 it was loads easier just to pull through a couple of times cos when I get in late I can’t be arsed fathing about and I’m out early on a morning! ive put loads through my sweed and only ever used the bore snake and it’s bang on the money Everytime I pick it up?
