  1. Just to let you guys know that the scope arrived today and my thanks to JJ for this. It is now sat on my son in law's rifle and suits him well. It also means the scope I loaned him is back withh me to go on one of the rifles I am selling. Thanks again mate. Phil
  2. Well done............Jimmy comes to the aid of another member and just highlights why this membership is really just a bunch of mates helping eachother. Phil
  3. I am deffo going to Harrogate, went last year and enjoyed it so won't be missing out on that one. I am getting tickets this week but have not seen what they are doing for airguns this year and some good shotty gear there as well. Phil
  4. How about a meet at the Northern Shooting Show in May, David might be feeling much better by then and it's nearer, Harrogate area. Phil
  5. You should have popped round to ASI as they are not far away from you, I bet they could have arranged something for you. Phil
  6. Saturday Phil as me and viz are working Friday mate The rifle defo has a DS look about it and is one of the longest rifles iv seen when the mod is fitted to her could do with a stumpy mod to be honest atvbjimmy  I have a Swift Stumpy mod Jimmy, they are not bad at all but not quite as quiet as an HW mod but perfect when you need to keep both weight and length at a minimum. I will let you know if I decide to go to the show, just not sure as yet mate. Phil
  7. Nice one JJ and nice one Mark......... I must admit to looking at a pistol in the gunship the other day for a few minutes longer than I should have, oh god, I'm thinking again.........dangerous. Phil
  8. Take no notice of Mark, he is a bit old fashioned, it's an age thing Jim. Love yer really Mark Phil
  9. Just thinking, next weekend is the Shooting Show where it is likely that you could try both guns out and although a drive from you, cheaper than buying the wrong one. Phil
  10. I must say Jimmy, it does have a DS look about it, very very nice mate. A little too long for me but lovely stock lines. I will have a look at them at the show if they are there. By the way what day are you going to Stoneleigh. Phil
  11. well it won't be the same as I have just bought but I think it could be a Raider 14........... Phil
  12. Just priced some JSB King Heavy .25, £6 a tin cheaper than two prices quoted by shops today. I had some RS pellets a couple of weeks ago and JSB labels were replaced with voymir labels so no chance of batch numbers, first time though. Phil
  13. welcome aboard Jim. An interesting question and one I can relate to. I made a decision to go lighter weight on my rifles as I found most of the guns I have are on the heavy side and I have two Wildcats which I find to be light to carry and a pleasure to shoot. I did have a look at the Gallahad but I must say that I put it back again quite quickly. We all like different things and guns are no different but for me, this gun was heavy in comparision to the Wildcat and no regulator unless I paid more so to me, heavy, expensive, poor feel. Just my own thoughts so do try to have a go wit
  14. I am going to the Northern Shooting Show in Harrogate in May instead of this one, it was really good last year and cheaper. Phil
  15. Not the same pellet, JSB Exact are the same as AA Fields although AA are produced by JSB but in the own moulds. Phil
  16. Have you tried the FX pellets yet and if so, have they made any difference. Phil
  17. I know what you mean there jjm, I have my optic wound right out to get it sharp but it is surprising how well I can see the recticle and anything else is just too thick for me now. Strange how well you get used to something. Phil
  18. Excellent idea, didn't think of that. Phil
  19. How nice of your neighbour and well done to you for being a good bloke otherwise he would not have given it to you in the first place. Enjoy your gift. Phil
  20. I believe if you have either a shotgun or FAC ticket, that will be fine until the certificate is renewed and at that time you will need to apply for an airgun ticket but in all honesty when something doesn't affect you, the info may not have sunk in correctly. I would phone the firearms dept of the area you are moving to and make sure. Phil
  21. I have visited ASI and spoken to Simon a couple of times, seem to be good people and to be honest they have been in the game for a very long time with shotguns and rifles enjoying a decent reputation so worth a phone call. Phil
  22. Yes I have to agree with the comments above as you have done all that you could. Just before you throw it as hard as possible back at the rfd, phone Simon at ASI to see what he actually says and even email Fredrick at FX to tell him of the issues. I am a big believer to going to the horses mouth to resolve an issue and without question, Fredrick would be getting am email or phone call from me. Phil
  23. You say the nicest things Moxy..... Phil
  24. There is one in my RFD and confess to picking it up a few times but keep resisting........................spending more than enough as it is Try JSB RS as I was advised that they work very well in these guns. Phil
