  1. I confess that I did have a go at removing the shroud but the barrel behind the barrel band started to move so I stopped any further attempts.
  2. Hmmm, I was told the shroud was bonded on and is not designed to come off without applying some heat to release the glue. Did you do any of that Si. Phil
  3. As a matter of my own interest Rob, I am sending off to Voymir for a tin of .177 and .22 JSB Test pellets to satisfy my own curiosity. http://voymir.com/jsb-22/366-jsb-diabolo-jumbo-exact-test-airgun-pellets-cal-22-7-x-30pcs-5906554324010.html It may well be worth you doing the same if you need an assortment of JSB. With regards to cleaning the barrel, I have just rigged up a plastic tube to pop into the muzzle up to the in built air stripper type of arrangement in order to feed the pull through without getting stuck although ASI have said it is easy to remove the barrel and use a
  4. Sorry to hear about your cat Rob. Let's hope further pellet testing comes up trumps for you mate. Phil
  5. Well I for one love that stock Mark, very nice indeed. Phil
  6. Try JSB Exact Jumbo Rob. Si is using them and I got some to test, by no means done enough testing but these are a very good start point although just to be certain, I want to try some others. Phil
  7. Good man........is this the .22 you told me about with lam stock. Photos are easy to post with photo bucket. Phil
  8. You are joking Shaun,....................too much Xmas booze. Phil
  9. That is the problem, I would love a laminate stock for my .177 but I have just spent a lot of dosh on guns and scopes over the last three months I need to stop for a while. Phil
  10. A rare one s/h to be sure, I do think the grey laminate looks superb and had I bought new, that is the one I would have bought although about £1400. Solway sell the lam stock for about £400.................................hmmmmm.............................no no no I MUST not do this. Phil
  11. I am loving these guns and involved in pellet testing at the moment. I have a much larger selection of .177 pellets to choose from and so far it does not seem pellet fussy but with the .22, I have only a few different pellets so needing to stock up on some for evaluation although again it does not appear to be so fussy. The results are as good as I have produced with the HW100 but to be fair with the high winds, it is a waste of time at distance at the outdoor range until the winds drop. Hope that helps Phil
  12. Looks like two you have had the same cracker jokes then boys. Phil
  13. Over time we often get new shooter asking for information on shooting grounds in their area so it is worth noting that February issue of Airgun Shooter magazine has a copy of the 'Shooting Clubs Directory' included with the mag and offers clay shooting, rifle, pistol and airgun shooting clubs and ranges all over the UK. A handy reference for all shooters Hope this is of help to some of you guys. Phil
  14. Dodgy ground there then Si, perhaps it is a good job I can't find the advert so I guess it has been sold boys. Phil
  15. I think there is one or was on either AGF or AirgunBBS forum s/h for sale Si. Phil
  16. Yes I got it from a really nice guy on the outskirts of Durham. To be honest he added a few extra bits as I had travelled up your neck of the woods. I know I got a really good deal on this sale and told him so. I suggested he joins us on here as we have a few living up there and said he would at least have contact with you guys, I really hope he joins. As much as I like my HW100, I just love the balance and reduced weight of the Wildcats, even with an add on NV strapped on, they remain light and very comfortable to walk around with. Just need to get some range time to carry out mor
  17. Yes Jon. I prefer .177 but a .22 came up first which will make a good ratter or even taking up to FAC level. Phil
  18. Have a good one Mitch. Phil
  19. Perhaps not quite what you expect..................... I tried to get them on the same photo but had to wait until they were asleep and the same with the kittens Merry Christmas to one and all. Phil
  20. A brace no less Mark, was that with a single blow or are we show stopping with photographic staging Phil
