  1. I bought a pair with the neoprene liner last year, expensive...................yes, worth the money......................oh yes. The best wellies I have ever had, you can walk in them all day in total comfort. Phil
  2. I must confess that although my TX is shooting very well, I do wish I had bought the .22 version. Having shot one a few weeks ago, it seemed a little calmer to use compared to the .177. Phil
  3. Hope she has a great day Si, my wife, Trish, it's her birthday tomorrow, just been looking at a new gun for her but think shoes will fit the bill more Anyway happy birthday to your little lady mate. Phil
  4. Love that little scope Si, there is one up for sale at £160 and I am tempted for the .177 cat. Gun looks good Jon, What pellets are you using. Phil Ah, dopey sod, just noticed FTT.
  5. Stunning job there Nath. Could you pm me with a price to do a Rapid beech stock in that green shade you use on some guns please mate. Phil
  6. Tim, you should set up a tuning service matey because you certainly know what and how to do these things. By the way my TX is soooooo accurate since your tune up, it is superb. Phil
  7. Welcome back Nelly Welly, all water under the bridge mate. Phil
  8. Very nice indeed, just sold mine, they almost make it too easy. JSB Heavy and Bis Mags gave the best results in my gun. Enjoy Phil
  9. I have come back to airguns for a different reason. When I retired three years ago, I soon became well aware that my clay shooting was going to have to reduce as I couldn't simply continue at that expense level any more which made me start thinking about other types of shooting. I saw a few air rifles in the RFD and liked the look so did the research as the BSA Meteor rifles of yester year had changed somewhat and so the saga began. It was the thought of shooting in the garden every day and spending very little money .....................................................well that aspect has
  10. Both companies have good web sites with costing shown for a number of items and services BUT you will have a wait, XTX has a booking calendar and tuning bookings are 1 week. Airtech will have your guns a while and both companies have a really good reputation. If you were fitting the reg yourself, kit cost about £105. I wish you phoned me first because we could have found a newer version but it depends how much you paid I guess. Phil
  11. To be honest, I wouldn't bother trying to work it out, just take it that a 4lt bottle will give you quite a few fills and lasting a few months. The main points are :- fill as often as you need only takes seconds to fill no effort involved carry a bottle easily in the car be totally independant for top-ups have an adaptor to fill a number of guns. (for when you buy number 2 & 3 guns) Phil
  12. So you got sorted Luke, what happened to the TX you were considering. Phil
  13. We are not going David, we are waiting until you are better and meeting up at the Northern show mate so make sure you are well................... Phil
  14. A good range there, are you intending to produce a spotter with a range finder built in, a tall order I know but that is what I would ideally want. Best regards Phil
  15. I think Lloyd at BAR also caters for the carbine as well Nelly. There is also a bottle conversion to replace the normal air cylinder to give BIG shot count. Phil
  16. I had some in my HW 100 .177, seriously bad but then again so were AA Fields, crazy because fields work in everyone's HW except mine. Oh well. Phil
  17. It will be a combination of all things Rez, my friend in London uses his almost daily for hunting and has no problem and I am so careful with all my shooting and fishing gear, you would think it just came out of the showroom, pride of ownership I guess, when I pay my dosh, I like to keep it in as perfect order as I can. I have only played a little with the power adjustment so far but it allows you to tune power to a pellet. For example, I only had a tin of JSB Kings available so tried on full power with a group of about 20mm then dropped to min power which produced a group of around 7mm. Y
  18. Yes it is a telescopic shroud and it certainly works but bear in mind that I am awaiting my variation ticket so only shot it in the range which is obviously louder than when used outside although you can fit a mod if required. I have asked for the gun and mod on the variation request so it covers all situations if required. Phil
  19. As most of you know, I bought into FAC air last year and became quite hooked along with a switch to FX Wildcats for their lightweight handling and have been toying with going for an FAC version for a little while. The only problem was the lack of them around to try out BUT whilst the wildcat is a gun I really enjoy using, it's bigger brother the Impact has had me very curious. It is quite strange how these guns have grabbed my attention as I am not into military style guns at all but there is something with the Impact that I like even though it is an ugly bugger. Well the opportunity prese
  20. Sounds like they are worth trying in my .22 and .25 FAC Tim. Phil
  21. Just to let you guys know that the scope arrived today and my thanks to JJ for this. It is now sat on my son in law's rifle and suits him well. It also means the scope I loaned him is back withh me to go on one of the rifles I am selling. Thanks again mate. Phil
  22. Well done............Jimmy comes to the aid of another member and just highlights why this membership is really just a bunch of mates helping eachother. Phil
  23. I am deffo going to Harrogate, went last year and enjoyed it so won't be missing out on that one. I am getting tickets this week but have not seen what they are doing for airguns this year and some good shotty gear there as well. Phil
  24. How about a meet at the Northern Shooting Show in May, David might be feeling much better by then and it's nearer, Harrogate area. Phil
  25. You should have popped round to ASI as they are not far away from you, I bet they could have arranged something for you. Phil
