  1. I know the results may change when it gets out to 60mt but until my FAC variation comes back, I am stuck with the RFD's own 25mt range. 45ft/lb is the the max power for .25 and is the optimum power setting as far as I know. There is some tweeking available to the user but until I am able to take the bugger out to the big boys range, there is no point messing around with it at present. If I buy the .22 barrel kit, I found out that the kit changes the power to the optimum for .22 which is 30ft/lb ish so a new set set of power bands are then available.which I think may well give between
  2. I had planned to spend a few hours at the RFD range today where my Impact is sat waiting for my ticket to return. I have bought a small selection of .25 pellets to try but the session had to be a brief one as the range was closing early and so only 40mins to try the pellets. Before anybody says it...............................25mt is far too short a distance for an FAC rifle but it is all I can do for now. Not too happy with my bipod arrangement just yet but that is something I can spend time with when the gun is at home with me. Anyway, these are the pellets on test A very q

  4. Jon, I have what is left of a sample in both long and short Polymags in .177 if you want them but there is only about 20 of each left. Just pm me your address if they are any good to you. Phil
  5. The Poly are available in two lengths, perhaps the Metalmag are as well. Phil
  6. So what else is going in the clear out Mark. Phil
  7. Might be worth fitting a Dr Bobs Quick Fill Nelly, I really could not be farting around taking the bottle off mine. http://www.drbobsgunbits.com/page5.html Phil
  8. That looks rather nice Jimmy, still can't believe you like that thumbhole stock though BUT I can see why you would like it. Phil
  9. Nice one Si. I was in the RFD today talking about rat perms and this guy took out his phone a showed me a video of a stock yard at night. I thought it was raining until he showed the video shot through his NV..............................the yard floor was moving with thousands of eyes looking at him. He said he had three guys bringing terriers in for a few sessions because even when they used a shotty, it made little difference and of course I asked if I could have a session which might be on after the dogs have been in. It must have been a bit freeky to be there though, think I would
  10. Yes, I saw this a little while ago, very impressive but what was the cost of such a mod............................perhaps a similar price to my Impact Phil
  11. I bought a pair with the neoprene liner last year, expensive...................yes, worth the money......................oh yes. The best wellies I have ever had, you can walk in them all day in total comfort. Phil
  12. I must confess that although my TX is shooting very well, I do wish I had bought the .22 version. Having shot one a few weeks ago, it seemed a little calmer to use compared to the .177. Phil
  13. Hope she has a great day Si, my wife, Trish, it's her birthday tomorrow, just been looking at a new gun for her but think shoes will fit the bill more Anyway happy birthday to your little lady mate. Phil
  14. Love that little scope Si, there is one up for sale at £160 and I am tempted for the .177 cat. Gun looks good Jon, What pellets are you using. Phil Ah, dopey sod, just noticed FTT.
  15. Stunning job there Nath. Could you pm me with a price to do a Rapid beech stock in that green shade you use on some guns please mate. Phil
  16. Tim, you should set up a tuning service matey because you certainly know what and how to do these things. By the way my TX is soooooo accurate since your tune up, it is superb. Phil
  17. Welcome back Nelly Welly, all water under the bridge mate. Phil
  18. Very nice indeed, just sold mine, they almost make it too easy. JSB Heavy and Bis Mags gave the best results in my gun. Enjoy Phil
  19. I have come back to airguns for a different reason. When I retired three years ago, I soon became well aware that my clay shooting was going to have to reduce as I couldn't simply continue at that expense level any more which made me start thinking about other types of shooting. I saw a few air rifles in the RFD and liked the look so did the research as the BSA Meteor rifles of yester year had changed somewhat and so the saga began. It was the thought of shooting in the garden every day and spending very little money .....................................................well that aspect has
  20. Both companies have good web sites with costing shown for a number of items and services BUT you will have a wait, XTX has a booking calendar and tuning bookings are 1 week. Airtech will have your guns a while and both companies have a really good reputation. If you were fitting the reg yourself, kit cost about £105. I wish you phoned me first because we could have found a newer version but it depends how much you paid I guess. Phil
  21. To be honest, I wouldn't bother trying to work it out, just take it that a 4lt bottle will give you quite a few fills and lasting a few months. The main points are :- fill as often as you need only takes seconds to fill no effort involved carry a bottle easily in the car be totally independant for top-ups have an adaptor to fill a number of guns. (for when you buy number 2 & 3 guns) Phil
  22. So you got sorted Luke, what happened to the TX you were considering. Phil
  23. We are not going David, we are waiting until you are better and meeting up at the Northern show mate so make sure you are well................... Phil
  24. A good range there, are you intending to produce a spotter with a range finder built in, a tall order I know but that is what I would ideally want. Best regards Phil
