  1. You have put many smiles on many faces Jimmy whilst I have been on here so that is a lot of 'WOWs' and I can well understand it, I will no doubt be doing one myself when I meet up with Si. Phil
  2. I think you are right mate, I will be speaking to Si later, we can try to do something where he can also have a play with the Impact which is on his radar for the future. What a fantastic range from the Airsporter through to high tech Impact, 12ft/lb ish up to 45ft/lb, something to suit every mood and demand. Phil
  3. Well I have the shorts as I am never out of them unless shooting but the white shirts and ties went to the tip when I retired and I suppose I am reliving some of my youth through air rifles anyway so I am ready to embrace a bit of nostalgia now. Phil
  4. She is a keeper Jimmy without any doubt whatsoever, I had already said that to myself matey. Phil
  5. I now need to start looking for a nice little scope. I would love to put something in keeping with her age but in truth my eyes are not good enough to shoot with any scope that doesn't have 'AO' otherwise I cant see fine detail so I will pop into the RFD tomorrow and see what he has in the s/h cabinet. I wish I had still got my little Leapers Bug Buster scope, that would have been ideal. Phil
  6. I am really so very very grateful Jimmy, you keep showing us all just how generous you are mate and to be very honest this is another example of what makes this forum different to any other, it is not a forum, it is an extended family. I will accept you generous gift Jimmy and say from the outset this gun is the gun I could not afford as a lad but always wanted so it will be cherished mate, always. Thank you so much old friend. Best regards Phil
  7. Well done that man, just building up to a rabbit foray myself. The HW looks good. Phil
  8. EEEEEEEERRRRRRR I don't know what to say ..................................................... my god Jimmy, I had no idea you mean't this gun. You can't do this buddy, I know you wanted it yourself mate, that is just not right. This is kindness beyond kindness matey, I am really lost for words and also very guilty as I KNOW you wanted it mate. We gotta talk Jimmy. Phil
  9. There is just something about the AA 400/410 series of guns that I just do not like. I must be one of the few people in the country that doesn't like them, so the answer is simple for me FX WILDCAT...........................................................okay, out of the two a 100 every day of the week. Phil
  10. Good to see this and what a pleasant change from the TV or computer games, actually learning something and enjoying the process. A credit to you Jimmy. Phil
  11. That's a bugger Mark but at least you have some good spots for your hides mate from what I have seen on your photo's. Phil
  12. Have a great day boys. I have been busy getting my RIB (boat) ready for a guy to buy it today, the twat text a message last night saying that he changed his mind, Oh well I will just keep swearing under my breath............................................................ Phil
  13. I got to say Ethan, that looks far better than two that are in my RFD at the minute. Very well done indeed young man. Phil
  14. You would think so Stealthy but surprisingly not. Same price as the garden centre. I think I am going to get the largest one to try on one of my perms. Phil
  15. Trish and myself have been out to the garden centre to get a few bits for the greenhouse and whilst having a look at all the bits and pieces I don't really need, I came upon an instant trellis complete with leaf creeper covering the entire trellis. Okay so there are loads of hide materials out there and I know Mark is always busy making natural hides on his perm but for me, I don't really have much to make a permanent hide, this however could be cut in half, tied or clipped together in order to produce a 'V' shape hide left out to become a bit weather beaten and let the weeds grow up and a
  16. If it is any guide Rez, in .177 both long and short fit in the HW mag with no issues regarding indexing. The long only just fitted the mag.The short however produced better groups though. Phil
  17. Si, What is the 'Tiny Tim' connection above your avatar. The only one I remember was a bloke who sang in a high pitched voice and had very long hair. Phil
  18. I tend to pass them on to a pal for melting down into fishing weights which reminds me, he owes me some. Phil
  19. Right Jimmy, I understand now mate. I was going to say that I would be up for buying one of these guns if available but I just didn't quite realize what the project was. I must have missed some detail in an earlier post / thread. Just me being a dim twat as per usual. Phil
  20. You have a wonderful collection there John and a Sheffielder to boot, good man. Phil
  21. Are some of these rifles that you are revamping Jimmy for sale or have I misunderstood. Phil
  22. Happy birthday and enjoy. Very similar to the BSA Ultra XL Phil
  23. The new FX is sooooooooooo sweet, really really lovely. I can see a space for one in the cabinet but not for a while though. Phil
  24. Just back from the RFD's and guess what he has on the shelf, not one but two very nice Airsporters in .22 but £300 each which is more than I expected to pay so I didn't but picked them up and an HW35e just to get a feel of them. The old brain box is slowly ticking chaps. Next time I go over there I am going to pop a scope on one of them and the HW35 but a Mamba Lite is not right if you know what I mean. I do have a Vantage non AO but can't focus to fcuking target, pity it is brand new. A vintage section sounds good but I don't have anyone close to share that aspect of shooting with but the
  25. Very nice Jimmy. The Airsporter is a gun I always wanted when I was a lad but too expensive. They still look just as elegant as they did all those years ago. Phil
