  1. Cheers Si, just need to find him one. Phil
  2. Right boys, one of my old fishing pals phoned me today as he is after a springer, HW or AA ideally after being a bit bored with the HW100 he has or had. So boys, have any of you got a suitable rifle you have been thinking of selling but not got round to it. He would like a .177 and I will ask either Si or Tim to tune it for him. I can of course find something for him through the local dealers but I thought it was worth asking you lot first. I am not letting him on here because his name is Phil and I can't cope with yet another Phil ? Phil
  3. There are loads on ebay, some are good some not so good. I bought a tracer torch in IR and can honestly say whist it is around £60, it was worth every penny. They also do a series of coloured torches. Pay out once and get a good one. The tracers are compact and lightweight so don't add weight up front on the rifle. Phil
  4. I don't look like Mitch I bet ?
  5. Enjoy it matey. Too many Phils on here .........................I object !!! Phil
  6. If either of us win Jimmy, we have a deal and you got my word on that as well. I t would be a nice thought hmmmmm Phil
  7. Cheer Jimmy but I need the lotto win first as the old pension will not run to one of those. Phil
  8. Tim, I would give Clay and Game a call, they are over the Humber Bridge from me so not far for you to pop over for a demo, in fact it is worth checking with them if they are going to the South Yorkshire Shooting Show in Doncaster this month. Really good and helpful people Tim, well worth the call and they do a good little catalogue. https://www.claygame.co.uk/ If you decide to go over, let me know and I will come and meet up with you. Phil
  9. Does your Nitesite Viper work well enough on the MTC Connect scope you have as it has a short eye relief which may be an issue with most add-on nv systems. The idiot who was MD of MTC/Daystate Tony Belas has stated to me at one show, the Connect is no good for add-on nv but then at the next show I asked him if there had been any change to the Connect in order to use an add-on nv and he then said, no change but you can can use add-on nv. The bloke is a complete tosser so be aware that you may need to change your scope anyway unless you buy a dedicated nv such as pulsar, not sure about the ATN
  10. You may be right Mitch ............................................................................................................................. but you are not !!!? I was toying with buying one of the many thermal cameras on ebay just to find lost bunnies but none of them say what the working range is. I am pretty sure we can get within a relatively short distance so it is just to make the final location of the shot quarry without glaring headlights to scare off every other rabbit for miles. pHIL
  11. I know what you mean regarding the thump of those pellets hitting home, just love it. Nice going on the partridge Si. The wind is not constant here which makes it a bit tricky to gauge but not shooting much more than 50-65mts last night so got away with it. Phil
  12. Funny how a none planned night shooting can turn out well. My pal phoned up last night and we decided to pop to a spot we don't normally bother with but it certainly worked well for me as I had 14 bunnies BUT I lost 5 in the grass, two were within 3 feet of each other but I never found them. I have got to look into some kind of thermal spotter to find them. The fox will have them but that isn't the point, it just pisses me off when I can't find them. Glad you enjoyed a short session with the new beast Si. Phil
  13. Fantastic night guys apart from the gun incident but at least it is sorted, so well done on that Alan. Phil
  14. I just thought sod it, I will have one as well but that item number isn't showing anything but to be honest I use a Deben with a Rapid air cylinder ring on which works very well and keeps the the pod well forward, never mind. Phil
  15. It was just the shot count that put me off my Ultra although it was a little sweety to use. Phil
  16. Hull Cartridge have said they will not be available until Late October - November............................................not so long then.
  17. As far as I know, you cannot fit any after market air cylinder on the 110 as it is a factory fit cylinder, I may be wrong but I don't think so. Phil
  18. Good stuff Si. There will be one there on display I would have thought, I will be very interested to have hold of it but doubt I will buy one as the Impact does everything I need. I still do like it though............................stop it !!!!!
  19. I take your point completely Mark although this appears to be more compact than the KT. I wouldn't take much notice of those two as they talk a load of rubbish. Phil
  20. Good find Si, I really really do like that, what an ace little ratter WITH a decent shot count, approx 70 in .22 / 50 in .177. Hmmm Phil
  21. Sorry Mitch, that is for shotguns or unscoped rifles mate. This is a perfect example of a cabinet not suited to scoped rifles. The title says shotgun / rifle NOT scoped rifle. You just have to be so careful when buying one online. Phil
  22. I have bought a number of s/h cabinets for friends from my RFD as he seems to get quite a few in.. As with what you have already found Jimmy, a number of companies sell them as suited to scoped rifles but clearly are no good at all. I would NOT buy on line unless you know for sure that the model concerned will in fact do what you need. I agree that it is far better to bay a cabinet bigger than you need because there is no such thing as a gun cabinet that is too big...................... Phil
  23. Got my last lot of .25 pellets from there and agree, good prices and delivery. Phil
