Just realised that I posted back on page one, i said the Ultra weight is 2.6it and the new HW110K is 3.1kg..............My error, the HW110K is also 2.6kg so the same as the Ultra. It is the standard 110 which is 3.1kg. Sorry about that. Phil -
Advice on a shot gun

The Hatsan semi auto has plenty of critics BUT both my pal and myself had two each for pigeon shooting, all four were second hand and during the two years we used them, they were faultless although I know there are guys on here that will say there are crap. Our guns weren't our main guns nor would I want them as main guns but everyone to there own. the main reason for selling them on was the major pain going round finding the ejected cases all over the crop we were shooting over and trust me the cases will travel quite some distance. one other thing to check on, make sure the clay sh -

I think that is the first one i have seen. double trigger and I suspect a non ejector and really not well suited to clay shooting. I had a thought, two in fact, good honest guns, a Lanber or Lincoln, neither of which are in the same league as the three I mentioned earlier but will be better than your Savage. there is another possibility, two makes that offer value for money and again not in the same league as Beretta, Browning and Miroku BUT you could afford one. The guns in question are ATA and Kof and from what I have seen of the ATA is a copy of a Beretta and do feel quite nice. -

The above stock extension is not great for two reasons. Firstly the rubber will stick like helll go your clothes so gun mounting is an issue. Secondly, it is a fixed length so no easy way to test various lengths. I have just bought a Beartooth stock extension kit to carry out tests on my wife's gun before any stock work is done but to be honest she is so pleased that she is wanting to leave it as is. you can get them on ebay and these will slide without catching on your clothes. There is a black one on ebay now for £21 item number 232440995289 but you can get one in brown if you ha -

Still early days but so far I am really liking it. I can confirm that it is accurate but there again I would have been seriously surprised had it not been after all it is a Weihrauch. My wife, Trish, was keen to try to shoot with the Nitesite fitted because she fancies having a crack at the rats, she doesn't know yet that there is mud and cow shite all over the place.........................anyway, I picked up a selection of used 12, 20 & 28 gauge cartridges and laid them on their sides at 25mts. I popped the table to the edge of the veranda of lodge we are staying in and with the bi -

I agree with a bit of both the above and those bottle openers that you can buy will give protection to the barrel / mod while applying pressure. These are really good https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jar-Lid-Opener-Baby-Boa-Constrictor-Strap-Wrench-Undo-Open-Jam-jars-old-strong/112905308606?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20151005190705%26meid%3D01317c4620944f72a76c7cf71ec510fc%26pid%3D100506%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D112905308606&_trksid=p2045573.c100506.m3226 Phil -

NOOOOOOOOOOO DON'T DO IT JIMMY THEY ARE BLOODY AWFUL AND ONLY A FOOL WILL BUY A 110 OF ANY SORT...............................? ? ? -
Thanks Tom, very good of you. I have dropped the unit in to an electronics guy in the next village who says he can sort it and possibly fit a variable pot as well to control screen brightness while in use. Fingers crossed. Phil
-
I am inclined to agree Sean.
-
The screen has a surround to protect it I guess and held in place with four tiny Phillips type screws, these are tiny and need jewelers screwdrivers to unscrew them however they are in so tight that I couldn't move any of them so I am thinking they have also used super glue as well. I have no idea how to remove the surround other than drilling out the tiny screws or perhaps cutting through the screws between the joint of the main case and surround. ? Phil

Yes A&M make lighter cylinders and so do Airtech and I think Ratworks but no idea if any are better than the other. I used one with A&M cylinder fitted but in all honesty it didn't feel much lighter to me. Phil -
Thanks Tom. I am going to take the rear case off to have a look and I have someone on another forum who will take a look at the photos I will do later. I have another Nitesite so I am not without an NV and if push came to shove, I will take back the NV my son in law has on long term loan. I know it is not difficult to get another screen cheap enough but first I need to establish if there is anything different on the screen compared to most on ebay and I will contact CRS tomorrow and have a chat with them as they know already which screen Nitesite use. While messing around with it, I woul

You will love this Mitch and then tell me ' I TOLD YOU SO' Out on Sunday night after some rats to test the 110k out on when after about 40mins, the Nitesite Viper screen would not switch back on, dead as a dodo. When I got back, I tested each part with my Wolf unit and found it was the screen only, not the camera, battery or IR illuminator. A phone call to Nitesite today and a chat with a bloke called Andrew who I think is one of the directors then on to a smashing chap in service called Sam who I have spoken to before. There is NO doubt in my mind that the boss man told him what t

The weight of the Ultra is 2.6k, 820mm plus mod..........................weight of 110k is 3.1, 900mm total length inc mod. The difference in views on here is a little academic as none of us have done ANY shooting with one and I have only zeroed it up plus a few shots so nothing at all really. You either like the look of it or dislike the look of it. I was looking at a horrible looking AK47 copy type thing being used on the range the other day, the weight was considerable and seriously long, felt like a bag of sh1te in the shoulder BUT the owner thought it was fantastic. Apart from getting used to the mag jimmy, the 110 series rifles have been really well accepted in the UK to the point that they outsell all 100 series rifles in 2018 which would suggest they are doing very well and that is the reason why they won't do a super carbine 100. For the life of me, I cannot understand what you and Sean hate so much about the look of the 110K rifles, they are just a shorter version.....................................I guess we all like different things so hey ho.
