  1. Looks very nice indeed but left hand cocking and mag position by the look of it so I take it that this gun is a left hander. Good luck with it matey. Phil
  2. Good shooting BN, interesting that they are all the same colour. I was feral shooting last week, the colours were all different ranging from dark brown right through to white. Love shooting ferals. Phil
  3. I confess to being somewhat puzzled about that Stealthy but I don't see it coming from a bb airgun. The shot string down the neck is nothing short of weird. I wonder what the pattern is like on all of the birds.
  4. Some things need to be kept after all we all have our traditions and it is rather nice to have them. We used to take my girls onto the sea wall on Xmas eve to see if we could get a glimpse of Santa on route. I was amazing that both readily accepted the Santa came over the Humber on his way into England and trust me, never a year went past when there wasn't something up there that could be seen to be the slay and that was the signal to whiz back home and off to bed. Brilliant times........................................................we still go on the sea wall to take in the cold night
  5. You guys need to vote out the poison dwarf and get someone in power who actually has the some understanding of life outside the make believe world she is trying to create, total wanker. Phil
  6. Okay we all agree these people are low life scum and yes it will add to the anti brigade's war on all gun owners, all that goes without saying BUT WHY shoot these lovely birds, that I cannot understand. They must know it will cause an outcry and after all despite them being complete b*****ds, they are gun owners who are giving the anti crew the ammunition to hurt us all. I am not a violent sort of bloke but I would be happy to see these people take a severe kicking and then lock them away for a very long time. Phil
  7. Trish has a few soft toy animals / santas that talk and sing, my grandson loves them and I suppose I don't mind them after all it's only once a year. The little bear sat on the table tells a Christmas story and my grandson who is only 4 just sits totally quiet taking everything in, the only bloody time he is ever quiet. Mark, Mitch....................................get your act together boys. To be honest I would not put all the stuff out yet but my youngest daughter loves to have all the Christmas decorations up for her birthday which is on Monday. She is now 23 and perhaps you w
  8. Well the trees are up and dressed, the outdoor lights are on, the presents are all bought and Trish and I have just had two glasses of mulled wine. Now I am getting in the mood for Christmas guys. A little girl was visiting the cottage across from me and her face was a picture when we asked her to count down to switching on the lights, made me fell good seeing the sheer delight at the thought of Xmas, okay a bit early but who give a toss. I'M READY........................................? Phil
  9. I have to say that if I was ever able to afford a Crown, after handling one in the RFD , I was blown away with how light they feel for a full length rifle so there would be one in my cabinet, FAC of course and .22.......................................ah to dream. Phil
  10. Interesting read Mitch if you have not seen it, there is also the Impact listed at the bottom of the page. https://hardairmagazine.com/reviews/fx-crown-air-rifle-test-review-177-caliber/ Phil
  11. Shaaark, I think most of the guys including myself who now own an Impact, did not like the look of them....................................as Mitch said, it is not until you shoot one and really FEEL just how good these guns are to actually use, thats when your thoughts about them start to change. I have never had any gun that handles and performs like the Impact but I totally understand where you come from with your comments. The down side is that once you have shot one and become hooked, you now have to find £1600 in order to satisfy the NEED ?? Yes, know that one, my younge
  12. Now that sounds like a good idea but will have to wait now until after Xmas. Just bought 4 new tyres for my daughter and another one coming tomorrow for mine. Why is it always at this time of year, things break or unforeseen purchases. I am becoming a 'Ba humbug' sort of guy I think. As a matter of interest, just how thick does the reticle become when zooming in, just never had any experience of them at all. I normally run between x3 - x7/8 so would that be an issue when shooting at long range I wonder. Phil
  13. Must admit to a great liking of the Mamba Lites although they can give a white out i some conditions which the Hawke never seem to. I put the 3-12 on my HW110k which suits it really well and for now leaving the Hawke Airmax on the Impact which works very well but a tad on the heavy side. Did you not get on with the Falcon Jimmy, must say I would have been tempted but never seen through one but the reputation is very good and never tried to use a FFP scope and I am curious about them. It seems to be a 'love / hate' thing. Phil
  14. I have no idea but logic would tell me that if they list a stock for that gun, it will fit. I think a phone call to Cromwell Stocks to seek advice is in order and I must confess the stock looks superb, the extra cost for an adjustable stock is worth it in my mind. If you need parts to fit the new stock, Cromwell may sell them and if not, contact XTX for 'tuning' parts. https://www.xtxair.com/ Phil
  15. I know Hull Cartridge changed their primers a little while ago which I found out when I phoned them up regarding a few miss fires with some Superfast cartridges. I don't like them but my beloved Eley Superb were out of stock at that time. I can tell you that the best 21gr cartridges I have tested are the Cheddite Universal 21. My wife was trying a number of 21gr shells to use in a gun she using at that time and these were fantastic. I tried them on the olympic trap layout at Beverley gun club and they smoked those long range targets. My pal then decided to try them and again superb result
  16. I know that I am now used to using short rifles but when my pal bought Jimmy's laminate stock 77, whilst stunning, it was heavy and very long. I doubt I could ever enjoy using one. Still have thoughts of a 57 for light weight underlever and more compact despite it's strange pop up loader, still fancy one. Phil
  17. Excellent idea, the councils all round the country have got to produce risk assessments for everything they do so it will at least make them see you are seeking permission in a very professional manner. It may well be worth producing a map showing the full outline of the golf course and where you think the rabbit issue is, also print out a Google Maps photo of the site and it's relationship to houses, public paths etc. Good luck
  18. H&N Greens, yep, only heard poor things about them. In Germany, they are restricted to 6fpe airguns so perhaps at 6fpe, they are ok but at normal sub 12 levels, everyone that has said they have tried them on various forums have said they are crap. As for the dealer...................................look for another or go online because if he can't be bothered to give you good reasons for stopping lead pellets when his customers want them, he isn't worth dealing with. Phil
  19. I used to collect slipper limpets from around Brighton and a local showed me what they did using a putty knife and with a swift push, they were off. They removed quite a few before the buggers clamped down hard. They were good bait for whiting as they were tough and stood up to a powerful cast. Phil
  20. To be honest, if the council owns the golf course, it is very difficult to get permission because there are so many rules within the council that will prevent them from giving you permission. If you want to try, look through the Leicester local gov site and get in touch with the parks dept as a start. Phil
  21. Is it the dealer who decided to stop selling lead pellets or is it the policy of the poison dwarf who runs Scotland forcing dealers to stop selling them. Just buy them online from a good supplier. As a matter of interest, which lead free pellets are you testing. Phil
  22. I have spoken to a couple of chaps who have these rifles and they were singing the praises of them. I can't remember what shot count they got but said whilst they were used mainly for range work, they did the odd bit of ratting and the odd rabbit. For the money, they are spot on. Makes me wonder if anyone has tweeked them with regs etc. Phil
  23. Perhaps worth sending an email to Weihrauch technical department. Phil
  24. I thought the post office refused to take air rifles or are you telling them that it is something else. Parcel force is part of the post office isn't it. Phil
