  1. That pup of mine from Boots is the spitting image of him, just not as feathered, if she turns out a tenth as good I'll be very happy , a pleasure to be around.
  2. Sad times , really bad news. Hope Martha picks up . Thank you for the warning though .
  3. Been on here not that long, don't do half as much work with the dogs as I would like, got a terrier who is still not producing the digging goods I want, a lurcher pup three months old who certainly will do what I want . But, I have been into working dogs almost all my life, 30 out of 45 years. Had good, culled bad and the like. But, this isn't about that , it's about how much f@@king arguing and pettiness goes on on here. My other passion was martial arts, if you had beef you sorted it out, win lose or draw it was sorted and moved on. On here it goes round in circles, over and over again.
  4. When I was 15-16, I had a greyhound that I used to work, he did all I asked, not with style but certainly killed a few things. He was totally stock broken to chickens etc but hated geese. By doing a load of ratting I got the rabbit control on a big estate with a couple of mates. One side of it was bordered by the river Crossens. Anyway, other side of this were houses with big gardens. One day, dog took off across three fields coursing a hare, it ran him towards the river and he lost it in a drain, next thing I see him cross the river and snatch a big goose from a garden and start swimming ba
  5. Hi,.I would be keen to learn a wee bit more regarding the penalties for using another man's photographs,..the legalities, etc.... Many thanks, Phil. Has someone used your pictures for commercial gain? In which case, you can literally send them an invoice and go the small claims court route if they don't pay Under the Berne Convention, copyright is automatically held at the time of creation of an original artwork Be careful how much you bill someone for though, as you may have to prove how you value a picture so high. A good place to start is whatever Getty Images charge for use of thei
  6. Very very sad news , what a life she had with you though and reading of her going downhill was gutting. Right decision and when it's not so raw reflect on the good times .
  7. Forgot this one, not squinting in the sun on this
  8. Well, just over a week since I picked up this little one from Fuji. So far she is proving to be an absolute treat to own. Feisty, bright, gets on well with the terrier and biddable . Going to be a lovely summer watching her grow. Here is Socks.
  9. Got mine Monday , watched it Monday and enjoyed. Thank you RF
  10. Well mine has settled in well. When my boy found out the sire was called Boots he had to call her socks. Getting used to her new pen, been clean in the house when she has been in . Bold as brass, refuses to back down to the terrier and had to be pulled off raging over a ball. An absolute pleasure to be around , can't fault her at all and a credit to Fuji who was an absolute gent ( and his lad ) when I went over to pick her up. She is going to be a handful in the right way. Pleased as punch .
  11. Lovely pups , all the best with them
  12. I'll just keep boring the sh@te out of you with my Pups progress. See you Sunday
  13. truthfully, local rescue centre for something young, that way you will get chance to socialise them together before you make a decision, loads of dogs in there that will be great company , or something like a small lurcher from lurcher link who rescue them.
  14. Did post asking for payment details mate , any chance ?
  15. Such a quality litter, all look bright as buttons
  16. They all look topper, love that one of mine

  18. Almost effortless style until it needed to , cracking runs
  19. I had a fell x whippet when I was a youngster, the fell was from Blackledge stock and the whippet a tiny little thing. It was gifted from a friend and was my ferreting companion for many a year . Got her when I was eleven and buried her when I was 26, spent the last 6 years as a lapdog for my Mam. She had a nose like a hound , a strike like an adder and just not quite enough speed to nail an open field rabbit. She hated squirrels and rats and killed many. Was a fabulous busher alongside my running dogs and dropped to ground a couple of times . A fell x Greyhound would be a handy dog
  20. Fingers crossed that the dog recovers pal and that you are clear too, it's a nasty disease at the best of times but this new strain sounds real bad .
  21. Despicable , hope the bitch turns up and the dog is only a short term injury
  22. Pups are a credit to you. Sorry to hear you moving out of the game.
