  1. These and your dog marsh man, cracking stamp
  2. Very nice pups, like em both, how are they bred ?
  3. Great getting the dogs back, hope it all gets sorted for you mate .
  4. Bull X near me on pets4home wanting £900 for it. If it was worth that I'm sure someone he knows would have bought it. I have nothing against anyone paying what they want for a pup or grown dogs, people spend more on an air rifle than that ! Merry Xmas all, have a good up and stay safe
  5. About five litters a day or so it seems on the bull greyhounds fb page or the bull x page mate. Wheat from chaff might take some sorting but some dogs are doing a lot of graft out there.
  6. I'm trying to work on the Mrs , would be great alongside my terrier pup.
  7. Only jacket I've found that is truly waterproof and breathable is a stretch one from OMM, too soft for digging in but buffalo pretext and pile will keep you warm while wet
  8. JB68 , a few years ago it was bulls and pits that were the 'trophy' dog, it now seems lamping with bullx and daytime with saluki's is the current thing, every one who wants to be an idiot with a dog is swapping and selling them, not on about the genuine working lads and lasses who treat them right but that they are the new fad as such . Never seen so many dogs up for sale that really, haven't even shown what they are capable of.
  9. Yes, or even younger , the amount of 7-10 month old dogs for sale is unreal .
  10. I have only been back in the game a few months after life kept me away from it for 12-13 years. Currently have my terrier pup and was thinking of running a long dog alongside her and getting them both going for next season. So, joined a few groups, looked around for pups and seems like there are so many dogs up for sale between 7 months and 15 months. Now, I only ran dogs for 10-12 years or so but the ones I had, by that age were just about stopping being babies, certainly by 15 months they were only just getting a look at anything other than rabbits ( it was all legal then ) . Seems to be
  11. Was going to ask how many and how long for ?
  12. Not all saluki x's are shy, I had a first x saluki grey pre ban than loved nothing more than teeth, it was a wee fecker but run it on the red ones and it flew into them. hated them with a passion. Got nipped whilst digging when it was a pup and raged for ever after that with them.
  13. You have just missed out http://www.dukes-auctions.com/auctions/36/lot/482/A+SIGNED+PRINT+AFTER+MICK+CAWSTON,+'I'll+do
  14. Cheers PK , appreciated Rh , that's half the problem, the permission.
  15. Just north of Lancaster mate. Appreciate all the replies. I cut my ties with the dogging world a few years ago and the lads I did dig with have all packed in the game. Some great help on here , cheers folks.
  16. Hi guys, I know I am opening a massive can of worms here but would be great to not get into a row or sniping. I may have the opportunity to access a decent amount of digging work through some permission I had years ago. Now I was out of the digging game for a long time and picked myself up a pup this summer to get ready for next season. Now as my pup is only 7 months I don't want to lose the permission to someone else but need the ability to be able to respond to call outs . So, the thought turns to picking up an adult entered dog. Nothing world beating , just steady . Would you
  17. Getting to the time of year I miss my running dogs, maybe keep my eye out for an older pup... Saw a pet whippet x collie/grey that needed re homing at 12 months, purely from a pet home
  18. I don't have a running dog now, haven't since the ban but all of mine at the time were bred from a greyhound I owned. All retrieved rabbit live to hand but we were not running big numbers and one of the ones I bred went to someone who was. She would retrieve until she got tired when she would give a little nip before retrieving. The greyhound sire retrieved everything live, hares and teeth which in the dark , often where we weren't supposed to be made some interesting situations... The joys of youth.
