  8. Darren If you want mate you can come down again but this time for some foraging. If not get a book (river side cottage one is not bad,and Field Guide to edible Mushrooms by Peter Jordan is a really good book). Start with easy ones like giant puff ball nothing you can muddle that up with because of its size then move on to like Hedge Hog mushrooms which is good, it has spikes instead of gills. Slowly slowly and if your not sure don't eat it, Its a good year to start though as there is a lot around. Cheers Arry
  9. I've been so lucky with these two little kits. when I picked them up i said to the bloke christ mate you must have handled these a lot, he said "no i haven't had the time". Could not believe it there full of beans yet not so much as a nip. they seem to seek human contact come running up to you even the wife will handle them. Never had kits so easy. Cheers Arry
  10. Loads of Mackerel in Start bay at the moment. Had a few for a feed yesterday from Beesands but the beach was minging the mackerel driven sprat white bait up the shore. there were two line of them about half a meter wide the hole length of the beach cooking in the sun. Had a cracking Fisherman breakfast from the cafe down there. Cheers Arry
  11. 6.15 this morning the kits in the own box were going loopy, making a right din playing volley ball with there food bowl. Thought i'd better get out and sort them out as want to stay friendly with next doors. Anyway opened the lid they were springing about like some free running teenagers, one bounced from the floor (knee height)to the top of the front (waist height) then hit me in the square in the chest clinging on spread eagle like a sky diver. Fed them put them in the run made a cup of tea and just sat and watched. Cheers Arry

  21. Aussie whip Warrener's used to farm rabbits and created these pillow mounds man made burrows kept drained to encourage them to breed. But the sheer amount of work needed to create them and the drainage ditches gob smacked me, they look like giant graves. I only looked around a few hundred yards and there were about twenty, the whole of Huntingdon Warren covers 600 hundred acres so i've no idea how many mounds there are. http://www.legendarydartmoor.co.uk/rabb_warr.htm have a look at this link, it will explain better than i could. Cheers Arry
  22. I could suffer a frenzied twenty odd, we don't get many of them. Lol Cheers Arry
