  2. Born in 51 and it was a good time to live. We had f**k all but far more neighbourly the back door was never locked. Made our own entertainment as kids got together buggered off to the woods all day no food or water (Drinking from a stream maybe)making camps, hide and seek, scrumping. Knocking about in the street till you got called in Lol. Catching a Rabbit or poaching a Pheasant, catching a Bass or Flounder to help feed the family. Then Terrier work and shooting as I got older, borrow the odd Salmond, Skinning Foxes for pin money. Imo the best music times from rock and roll to present day. Wo
  3. Remember working on a building site in 76, we were walking around in 4 inches of dust. You sweat then the dust stuck to you we were caked at home time. It seemed to last so long. Cheers Arry
  4. Got them at mine mate, I do actively encourage them though. A wild area for them the slow worms and the birds. Squirrels are not welcome though been thinning them down. Left over ferret food go's under the ferret hutch and the come every night. Nice little run under the ferns behind the ferret hutch. Another run parallel to my front steps. Don't know if you can make that out. Little droppings every were, some very small ones, been trying to catch sight of some young ones. Cheers Arry
  5. Crab Spider hiding in a Cosmos Flower. Gate Keeper Cheers Arry
  6. Dytkos Dave you might have something was a near full moon a weird full red moon. but right down on the high water mark I've never seen before. The most amazing red nearly full moon. Cheers Arry
  7. Moon rose at about midnight and that was spectacular it was bright red, tried to take a photo with iPhone but no-good. I seen the odd toad or frog when you have a stream running out on a beach, but this is gravel and they were right down the beach near the tide line as well as climbing the rocks near our gear. Like I said I seen about a dozen and that was 25 meter diameter around where we were fishing Mate. Cheers Arry
  8. Thats what I meant mate. Strange though as its a 100 foot cliff behind no ponds or any thing like that. Cheers Arry.
  9. Never seen them on a Beach before like that. Mind there were a lot of sand flies about but didn't think they liked salt water. Cheers Arry
  10. Had a few hours Bass fishing last night, before you ask only small ones about 2lb. To the point about midnight seen something under my rod rest thought first it was a mouse but it was a small Toad about 2 inches long. Five minutes later few feet away another, went to bait up and two more almost in my bag. In all we must have seen about a dozen wondering around the beach. I have never seen this before, how about you guys? Skein of Canadian Geese at dusk. Cheers Arry

Your right mate I reckon. I know quiet spots, places to fish, places to mooch, no probs there. But we all have to do a shop now and then, I'm not going into town or a pub etc it's heaving. Got my beer in "Jail Ale", do all my drinking at home. I am very lucky where I live the coast just 5 miles away and Dartmoor about the same and by christ do I appreciate it. Lots don't. Cheers Arry

With respect the trouble we have down here is it's every body from every were from all corners ramming them self together. It's peoples behaviour that to blame it's like it's all over and back to normal. Well it's not and we are in for a hammering as well as other places when they come back from holiday to their home towns. Mental f***ing mental. Cheers Arry

None of that is a excuse, you can't blame the Government for not wearing a mask in crowed areas. It's 2 meters distance and if that can't be maintained then it's 1 meter + and the + means a mask. Or is it alright for us to die because idiots think they know better. It's peoples behaviour that at fault here, as said come down by all means but just leave your foot prints in the sand not the virus and the litter. Atb. Cheers Arry

Blame that on the Government FFS. It's the Government that said keep 2 meters away and use a mask. It's thick twats that are choosing to ignore that and endanger the people of the South West. Come down by all means but a little respect for are Lives our Beauty spots and our Beaches, at the moment we are just being mugged by ignorant selfish twats. The R value is now one of the worst in the country thanks to these thick tourists. Cheers Arry

In the next county mate, happy to give a few pointers if any body is coming down to Devon though. Coast and Dartmoor both looking good, North coast of Devon will be quieter than the South coast. Cheers Arry.

If your camping mate try "Poly joke" site 100 yards from a little beach a bit out the way but near Newquay. The road up the hill goes to a pub. Good if you have young kids there is a sand pit in the middle were they can play. https://coolcamping.com/campsites/uk/england/south-west-england/cornwall/newquay/1173-porth-joke-campsite Cheers Arry
