No likes left mate sorry. Blackberrys we picked a few today but most not ready till at least next week or the week after. Seen some down a lane about a month ago that were ready they seem all over the place. The Chicken of the Woods is okay to add to a stew that kinda thing but not the best. Hen of the wood though is one of my favourites. Ceps I can not believe it dropped right on them in a favourite spot under an Oak tree, 26 yesterday and 45 today. Will visit again tomorrow still more coming.

How a couple members still managed to be still drinking at 6.30am sitting around the fire laughing I will never know. Lol.

Bloody hell I'm not that fond of it myself had a load last year, visited the tree I had some off not a sign yet. Was hoping I might find a Hen of the Woods one of my favourites but will settle for the Ceps. Going to have a mixed fry up on toast tomorrow and might dry the rest. Will have another look tomorrow at least another dozen coming.

Just got back from the fishing comp and a bit knackered but I know there would be a bit of Fungi about after this drop of rain the last week. So went for a short mooch , good job would have missed these. 26 Ceps and a feed of Field Mushrooms and Chanterelles, well chuffed.
Cheers Arry
Out for a Mooch see if any Fungi about. Few nice fresh Chanterelles just coming.
A big manky bolete 6 inches across, was a none eater as it cut blue.
Pick a bag of Wild Plums for the wife.
Small but well sweet.

Some really good beers there mate. I'm fond of the Prince Town Brewery, Legend, Jail Ale, Dragons Breath, Dartmoor Best and IPA. Not tried Dartmoor Gold or Ruckin' Flacker yet not even seen them two.
Nice area Belstone Neal.

Also romantic thinking how good it might have been in the past. Unless you were aristocracy I don't think it would have been that much fun. My father once told me if he never tipped his cap to the Squire his father would be threatened with being kicked out of their cottage. You were bit short of their slaves their canon folder in wars taxed too the hilt while they lived in luxury. Be thank full for what we have now, if you want to progress you can now. There was no way out back then. they were the masters. When I first worked on the buildings I nearly got the sack once. The site agent was whis
