  1. Hmm not ideal fellas as there offset and not an inline add on, so you have to compensate for different ranges more. A rear add on always you to increases the mag of the scope right up, a front mounted add on normally max's out at 8x mag, but your also magnifying onto a digital display, plus your going to need long arms to adjust the focus..
  2. Good shooting! Had a cracker the other night, we were waiting for a fox and nothing was showing, spotted a rabbit to the right of a pylon way out, my mate said if you can hit that I'll buy the food from Mc'ds , using .223 with 40gr vmax, aimed above it around 9", hit it in the chest approx 350 yds using drone 10x , don't get me wrong it looked pretty small, flipped over...still owes me a burger!
  3. Helion are out now, trails are due in a few weeks. Digisight Ultras another two month. http://www.blackwoodoutdoors.co.uk/nightvision/thermal-imaging/pulsar-helion-xq38f-thermal-monocular http://www.blackwoodoutdoors.co.uk/nightvision/thermal-imaging/pulsar-helion-xp50-thermal-monocular
  4. Got them all on order villaman , so if anyones looking out for some new NV or thermal, give me a shout.
  5. You been out pigeon shooting Alan?
  6. I use an Icotec 500 myself, not a bad caller, never compared it to a Foxpro but a friend didn't rate the foxpros and said the range on the remote was pants.
  7. Use an Icotec GC500 myself, good bit of kit.
  8. What budget do you have? Theres a lot of options out there.
  9. Spypoint Xcel HD camera kit, brand new includes all accessories, waterproof housing, remote, shotgun mount, etc £130
  10. I have a few brand new scopes here. Hawke Sport 3-9x40 with mil dot reticule. If anyone's interested, be alright on an airgun or rimfire. £35 plus £5 delivery.
  11. Deben have there own style of connectors the type they fit to most items, including the tracer lithiums .. Lightforce are standard bullet style crimps.
  12. Different connections but if you change these then no problem at all, they fit the same.
  13. What would be the best torch to use with that monocular mate? As I think that's the 1 im going for. Thanks Look at ludricrous lumens at the AS IR torches a 50mm should be the best in terms of range and size for it. Probs around £35. Go for a T50 or TR50 dependant on personal choice.
  14. Sorry mate too many rifles , just bought a Tikka T3x in .223 1:12 twist and using the 40gr vmax for a bit more poke, dropped plenty with the .22 hornet though, its nice quiet recoil free calibre.. sorry Maybe, too many guns and for rabbits I use the HMR on a night now, I just don't have time to load thousands of rounds, plus the HMR is cheaper, not as good but good enough for rabbits.
  15. CZ .527 .22 hornet for sale, new style with single set trigger, excellent condition. Includes Reflex T4 Moderator. £450
  16. I'd suggest also getting a tube heater if fitting in a garage to prevent rust problems with temperature changes overnight. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sunhouse-SHTTH1-Tubular-THERMOSTAT-Household/dp/B00LPHIMW0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1481273774&sr=8-3&keywords=tube+heater
  17. From experience the Apex range of thermal riflescopes gives a better image than the quantum monoculars even the newer XQ version. I agree the greater magnification can limit field of view, you may have been better off going for the older HD/XD range with 2.1x or 2.8x mag in the 38 and 50mm lens models to give a better field of view.
  18. Direct roof mounted with hole trough roof is far and away the best. Otherwise I'd go suction bar with handle fitted. Avoid the motorised ones there junk.
  19. These are good for the money, when combined with any AS IR torch. http://www.blackwoodoutdoors.co.uk/pulsar-digiforce-860-vs-night-vision-monocular
  20. Zac on rabbits if you fit a doubler the FOV is very narrow, ok for foxing 100yds and onwards. Thats why leaving it at 6.5x is probably better to get on target, even if the image isn't as good. With the ward you can go from 3x mag find it and then wind the mag upto 16x if you want and take the shot. Having high mags gives better image quality but it becomes a nightmare for finding things, even when using a spotter, etc
  21. If you want an average mag dedicated scope there ok. Pros Easy to mount cheap Good image when combined with IR torch. Cons Very focus fussy Can be difficult to centralise cross hairs. Very IR sensitive For the money there good, the ward 800 add on is double the price but allows use of the full mag range of your torch and swapping between scopes easily.. Theres three options to go for with digital NV, avoid the rest. Photon XT 6.5 Ward 800 Drone Pro 10x
  22. Walshie you can get possum bore guides for the 452 if you do want one.
  23. You been out recent did you borrow my spotter?
  24. Eley produce the tightest groups for my CZ, but they do seem to ricochet that bit more, winchesters drop stuff better and group not too bad for hunting. I've had extraction problems in the past walshie, to the point i had to take empty cases out with terminal screwdrivers...frustrating when something is in the crosshairs..
  25. I'll send you a PM, yes should find a rabbit. its the higher resolution 320res one.
