The best led lamping torch I have is a rather large Thrunite TN42 it has a 1500m plus beam. If out with a pal, I'd give them a Striker, variable of course . I would use the Thrunite along side the Striker. There was no field too big. The new TN42 V2 has a 1860m beam, that's over a mile

I've got a few. I use a Warrior 3 as a daily carry, a Javelot if I'm using for a search light. They are both about the same size. I haven't got a lamping dog at the mo, but the Javelot would do the trick for small fields and short sessions. They both fit in your pocket nicely. I wear Carhartt double fronted work strides and the torches fit in the tool pocket and you don't even notice they are there. That was just 30 mins from the house in the southern uplands in Scotland just over the border some sometimes you take for granted whats on your door step great hills and walks they always get overlooked because everyone always heads for the highlands the scenery is just as good and never as busy, 6 hours I walked for today and never came across anyone.
