On Sunday some dosser come round said have u seen my rod floating past lol he was surface fishing wi a fly rod and it got ripped out his hand ,got a bite ended up wi his fish fly rod and floating line on the end of my rig after several attempts got the long haired prats rod back for him fecked me swim tho ,dosser

Crazy mate. But like you say once they get that fish after sitting by the bank for days it's got to be worth it. It's not for me. Id much rather stalk them on the top. Seeing them come up for that bit of bread , pop up , dog biscuit. Deer hair look a like biscuit. I've just bought this off temu. Instead of the line being in the water spooking the fish when they come up for the bait. Sometimes when they notice the line or touch it they roll away. Well this just has the bait on top of the surface hook out of the water. I've tested it in a bucket sits well.

Fair play 2 him not nocking them as such just not for me ,we went on a commercial Sunday feeder fishing pellets and had some right lumps by my standards nothing like your lads fish ,8 pounders and such but I enjoyed my little pond more just never know what u might catch

My boy fishes several nights a week packs up at 5 and does a full shift ground worker in the day plus weekends averages a fish every 10/15 nights but effort equals reward

Was only on that stretch of river good four hours 4 fish. Would have had a few more. But our youngens hair rig wasn't working right. Id made the hair too long. So fish were hitting it , but not setting the hook. Our youngen said you've done that on purpose MEeeeeee do that to you son lol.
