Maybe i really shouldn't post on this topic, as i'm someone who's had dogs run and catch with broken toes, and seen dogs that could do the same whilst running on digits that were so smashed they stood on them. Back then, if a dog jacked a run because of a sore dew claw, i"d reconsider the standard of dog i was running. It was all about hearts and numbers... Though I'm lucky enough never to have a dog with dew claw problems. These days I'd only get a pup on with the dew claws removed.
