  4. That is a good innings, it makes you wonder a lot of these old war heroes who survived seem to live to a long age it’s like a greater power wants them to get their stories out there. I watched a documentary the other night about the Atomic bombs being dropped on Hiroshima on the 6th August and Nagasaki 9th August eighty years ago and there is a very small amount of survivors of the bombs who told their stories, the details they went into of that day considering they were children is incredible, but mankind learns nothing from past experiences.
  5. A few Wheaton x dogs I know here and in Ireland; A Wheaton/deer/grey pup I was offered; Two of it’s litter mates at about a year old; Two Wheaton Lurchers; Cheers.
  6. Ask Bangers I’m sure he will be a bit more to the point than me, but I’ve read there are going to be Isis attacks on Schools in September and the details given were not very nice at all, it’s very difficult to believe what you read sometimes because 90% of what you read on social media is total bollocks, I’m similar to yourself my only social media is on here and I follow some YouTube journalists, but my Mrs on the other hand is like a running commentary on what she reads lol
  7. Took a few camping trips this summer. Back in May I decided to try to pack as light a backpack as possible so I could walk with my camping gear on my back and fish on the move in the sipsey Wilderness.. When I found some whitewater I knew I would camp here. My first attempt at ultralight camping was a success. June and July the rivers was flooded or it was 100 farenheit. This past Monday we had unusually cold weather. So I skipped work and left out in the kayak.Caught some good smallmouth. When I'm camping in this area I tie my kayak

  14. Get a grunter hanging off him and he'll be singing like Montserrat! Lol
  15. He won't let go of out mate even when. He's tripped it ten times he's been dragged a mile Never mind a large cat lol he's 5 times the size mate
  16. mC's thinking, bull crosses running hares ? Lol
  17. You couldn't hold the dog and if you tied it up it would do cart wheels, no good when it's a big half cross, lamp a couple of hares on the drive down to the land and it settled him down a bit lol. He was one of the nicest looking dogs you could wish to see, nearly shiny black with flashes of white, built to perfection and good on Charlie and the grunters.
  18. Yeah pretty standard that, I’ve had a couple myself that used to get so wound up you had to take them out for a spin before they settled in . The worst I’ve seen personally was owned by a young lad in our circle , we let my dog out on a hare and when we got back in it had pushed itself through the mesh factory fitted dog Guard on my vans bulkhead. The dog also gave mouth like nothing else I’ve heard on its first run until it had settled but when it did it was a serious tool at its job , I stand by what I’ve said , all this secret squirrel omertà regarding wheaten crosses , they ar
  19. Have you seen any go stiff,iv seen a good few over the years, good mixed through a lurcher, tho they don't all make the grade same as any cross
  20. First Barbel of the season last night, river was extremely low and full of weed, was hard going tbf...just started packing up and putting kit back in the car...and my upstream rod went over...I've missed the sound of my old whiskers screaming in the darkness ...
  21. Never really seen a wheaten lurcher in action but heard they are the real deal. But, come on, a good bull cross is a chainsaw on legs. My uncles mate had a bull cross that went berserk when chucked in the motor and when I say berserk when he went lamping he used to throw it out on a hare or two just to try and settle it down, when it spotted something on the lamp it used to try and jump through the windscreen. Lol
  22. Yes mate but then it needs the energy an bollocks to kill when it's hanging of the dogs face lol
  23. Finnish or finish?
