As I have pointed out in the General and Lurcher sections, it is highly likely that ferreting with dogs, lurcher work and other currently exempted hunting will also get mopped up in the proposed bill to ban trail hunting, in a similar way to Scotland. That means no more rabbiting and effectively a complete end to what is left of lawful Lurcher work and ferreting with dogs in the UK. We must be vigilant and at least try and engage in any consultations and the process, if there is any small hope of salvaging what’s left of that part of our precious rural heritage. W
