Should have paid some random spade to do it and then sat in the conservatory watching him get chased round by 10 thousand wasps ! lol……well worth £50 !

    Wokeness.

Oh, right, I get you….ok, I’ll go next: Centre Left = Communist, traitorous, tyrants who helped destroy everyone’s life because they are all victims Is that the type of thing ? lol
  6. Don’t know if it means anything in the context of this thread, but I had a bitch with a broken leg at that Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick once (you know, supervet from the telly) and when I enquired should I give her any supplements to aid healing he said “No” The reason was, it can cause imbalances in other places….just a good mixed diet is what he recommended.
  7. It was all over the telly mate, didn’t matter where you lived….hence my point.

Ant powder mate, give it a liberal helping round the entrance and all over. Thats all the pest controllers use.
  9. I met a group of chaps from Holland once with a mutual friend, they were sat there doing Charlie to go up and then skag to come down…..mental !……make no mistake, they knew exactly what it was. My point is, in that time period you’d have had to have spent your life locked in a box not to know what skag was and what it did.

WOKE ? Most of us of a certain age with a few scars know it’s not “woke” to care about people, offer a helping hand where you can, try and ease someone’s pain for no other reason than a bit of empathy……it used to be called “Being a proper chap” And there is also nothing “tuff” about dismissing thing we don’t understand or have experience of out of hand because some other helmet calls it “woke”…… Before all these silly words like “woke” we just had judgement and empathy…..we used the first and applied the second where appropriate. Woke has about as much meaning as rac
  11. Literally everyone knew mate, I’m not having it that people in the late 80s and in the 90s didn’t know what a lethal thing skag was…..lethal not just because you may OD, but lethal in as much as it dragged lives into literal hell……everyone knew that by then.
  12. Tramps as we used to call them and I don’t remember much negative talk about tramps when I was very young…..I think that changed late 80s and through the 90s, the manner of the people out on the street and the people themselves were different ? Dirtier ?……grubbier ?……more “nasty” ? Maybe that’s completely understandable given our social decline, if everything is declining then it only figures that those at the very bottom of the pile decline with it ?
  13. There’s the other side of the coin as well, in my old town there was a tramp, always pissed and used to stand outside shops with his dick out pissing. I pulled up at the Tesco’s one evening with my girls in the car who were only little at the time, there he was just stood there in the middle of the doorway, in the high street with his cock out pissing…..he wasnt event holding it, his hands were busy with cans, just dick flopped out for all to see pissing. My little girls said “Daddy, what’s that man doing” so I got out and fired the filthy c**t out the way…..I’d have happily thrown h
  14. Now, this is a sensitive issue so take my word for it when I say I’m treading as carefully as I can. Years ago I was way less mellow and understanding than I am now but both schools of thought aside, it always baffled me how people arrive at skag ? Is there like a general story or have you found each case is unique ? The bit I never understood was this, certainly our generation was brought up being fully informed about skag so what makes a person go near it ? Don’t get me wrong, I was a young man in the 90s and was pretty fond of excess until I met my wife but never that, wou
  15. Depends, don’t see them where I live now but when I was still in the U.K. it was based on quick judgements…..if someone looked genuinely in trouble I’d slip them a few quid. But if they looked like a pissy old wino who is going to get battered and drive everyone mad they could go f**k themselves. When I was young the pro beggars who give you shit when you don’t cough up got their teeth kicked out. Horses for courses

Funny, but I always thought it was part of the British character to not be minges about everything. The brutal nature of our working class humour was a mainstay of who we are. I always liked the old adage of “If you didn’t laugh you’d f***ing cry” and I think that’s not a bad way to be. Humour, however savage is subjective and it’s an important (imho) tool in taking away some of poison and horror of terrible situations……there are no clear lines of demarcation, I always just preferred the old fashioned method of you know if you’ve gone too far because someone gives you a dig.
  17. Kings ! f***ing hell…..that name bought back some memory’s ! Last time I was there we had a set to with the doormen, I fell out the door absolutely smashed out of my tree and we wound up in one of those grimey caravans with a couple of old slchapps, my abiding memory is my pal walking through the caravan with his bollocks hanging down like an old greyhound, bless his cotton sox, he was about 7 stone wet through but making a gargantuan effort on this big fat old tart with his cods swinging like a couple of bell hammers ! lol I don’t know whether to be grateful or pissed off you broug

Sounds like I’m being confrontational mate but I’m not, I just genuinely find it a fascinating subject and like you I hold a strong opinion about it. Theres places you can take kids and family areas in football grounds now and, if people didn’t know already what to expect when rival fans meet, there’s non league. It’s all just opinions but personally I want to hear everyone, even the ones I don’t agree with or like…..I want them out in the open where I can see them. You mentioned PIE, well I remember that and I’d rather those people out in the light than tucked away in the

Certain things just “are”……like groups of lads, be that at football or not, knowing when & when not to say something howling (remember gallows humour anyone ?) and when it’s time to be a proper chap……there’s a time and a place, we don’t have to walk round beating ourselves with chains and saying endless Mia culpas because Manchester Utds pilots are about as good at finding a runway as Hoijland is at finding the back of the net ! That’s a joke by the way but I’m not insisting anyone laugh, feel free to not laugh…..see, that’s how it works !

So what I got from that is, people shouldn’t be allowed to talk about things you don’t think they should talk about BUT they should talk about things that you do think they should talk about……is that about the strength of it ?

Let’s be honest, anyone is going to look at this accident and say “That's bloody awful, his poor family” Thats just the go to response for 99% of people. I will just add, nobody is turning up at his or anyone else’s graveside to shout insults…..it’s just a thing that never happens anywhere, ever !

Well, more to the point what happened to just learning to deal with stuff ? Are we really doing society any favours by trying to protect people from things that are subjective ?……what happened to “it will toughen you up !” No wonder some people say there is a mental health crisis ! As I said, it’s not a dig at Jukel, I just find the whole subject fascinating. We have always had redress for things we don’t like, it’s called “don’t be around it” or if it’s more personal, “a punch in the mouth !” We can do that ourselves, we don’t need to make it a mass movement ! lol

Is that what that’s called ?….thank you mate. Does me in, like we all need protected from hysterical made up nonsense instead of just using good old fashioned common sense ! It’s all over the show…..when did this become a common thing ?…..it’s only recent because I don’t remember 40 year ago going out on my BMX and some adult saying “Slow down, what if you loose control and swerve into the road causing a multi vehicle pile up with dozens of casualties ?!!” Folks would have probably just laughed and said “daft prat” if you fell off !

I always find posts like this interesting, not directed at you mate because I see it all the time, but why is there this silly habit of making up an absolutely terrible scenario and then using it in a debate ? Everyone is at it now days. Let’s take your post (and as I say, it’s not just you)……we are all chaps of a certain age, when in any of our lifetimes have any of us seen or heard about a group of people turning up at a random funeral and chanting insults at the deceased family ? It’s literally never happened ! The only case I can think of is Micheal Stone at Milltown
