  1. We’re they short Dexters mate ?, how were those to keep ? I had Australian Lowline Angus and they were brilliant to over winter…..they ate nothing but silage and cost €2 a week each to keep over the winter. The condition on them was unbelievable for such low inputs, you’d have thought I’d given them a bag of meal every day…..they will thrive on nothing.
  2. The nearest I ever got to doing the London Marathon was when it used to go past my front room window every year when I was a kid ! Lol
  3. I agree almost completely mate, but I think now in a world where we can go anywhere I’d be seriously looking at what places embrace the entrepreneur rather than keep throwing chairs in his way. Mind you, it’s the same old conversations down the ages…..my old pal god rest his soul was a machinery dealer (diggers, tracked machines, JCBs etc ), came out of a travelling family in the same area of Deptford as my people, he was a lot older than me by 30 years but he used to say “I should have took my family to America when I was young” So I suppose blokes of a certain age always have thes
  4. His is something to do with systems that operate aircraft I think…..whatever, it’s nerds crack ! Lol
  5. The Middle East is all in England mate, maybe we are keeping a close eye ? Lol
  6. My daughter just blagged it and she is a legal assistant for some big gambling firm or something like that, works from home, never has to leave the house and her work is global. Her and her boyfriend have just bought their first house in Belfast, she is 21. He never has to leave the house either, does something called “coding” (??) online. They are both on good money and all the benefits that come with a proper job, I’d never advise them to go it alone as a couple just doing a small business…..there was a time they could have earned more but I just don’t think that is the case n
  7. I started out at 14 selling dusters and dishcloths and stuff like that door to door for myself, topped it up with labouring for builders etc. Went on the building site at 16 and did that until I was about 21, taught myself how to plaster and render and dry line and metal stud, do brick and block work to a very basic standard. Worked market stalls and all sorts until I fell into what I ended up doing. The over riding thing was that everyone could keep a bit for themselves, they could have a few readies, they could form a limited company and pay themselves, they could have a moto
  8. I was chatting this morning and said I wonder how long people will stand keep being taken from ? Surely there has to come a point where this is just no more left to take ? I worked for myself nearly all my working life, worked very hard if I do say so myself and do you know what, I genuinely wouldn’t bother to start a business today if I was young again and just starting out……I just can’t see as it’s worth the hassle for the return ? Government's have engineered society so that the only lending banks do really is mortgages, those numbers are getting bigger and bigger but the tro
  9. I think when Trump wins it won’t be a question of being isolationist, I just think he understands the importance of the nation state getting its priorities correct. America has answered the call to friendly nations way before globalism, before this modern breed of politicians sold us all out to China and corporations. Some of your towns and city’s are mirror images of our towns and city’s, once great thriving places with pride, industry, community now sadly just wreckage……I don’t think there’s anything isolationist about wanting to see that restored…..MAGA as the buzz phrase calls it
  10. When the terrorists did the Bataclan massacre in Paris the go to lads to arrive on the scene were British SAS troopers !……..that probably tells you all you need to know.
  11. I don’t know where this information is coming from but from a European prospective everything centres around the European Union and the big boy in the room is Germany, Germany rules the roost. Without the United States there is no NATO and if there is no NATO then everything will be worked along EU lines and that means Germany is in charge. From a military point of view the premier fighting force in Europe is Britain but we are no longer a member of the EU.
  12. Only 4 more games to go before we never have to look at Moyes “football” again ! Thank you Palace, you may just have sealed the deal !
  13. Probably find someone on Tik Tok……..I’ll get my coat !
  14. I’ve not seen McHull ?….maybe his heat shield disintegrated as he was having his casual morning stroll to America ?
  15. Will it f**k, from a military point of view those bunch of queers couldn’t run a bath ! Plus, without you lads NATO would cease to exist as any type of credible force. It has us but we just don’t have the size despite punching way above our weight.
  16. The face you see looking back at you from under the bed after 2 years of Covid ?

I’m assuming the younger girl is the Pint Of Guinness daughter ?
  18. The look you get when Ali at the Discount Curry Centre only gives you 2 poppadoms ?
  19. I wonder if he walks a lot ????
  20. In the words of your own great General Norman Swartzkopff “Going to war without France is like going duck hunting without an accordion !” Lol Im not really interested in the other stuff but the comment about France tickled me……being told “France are sending support troops” is like being told someone is sending you one water wing because there’s a tsunami heading your way. That bunch of balaclava wearing empty tracksuits couldn’t soldier their way out of the line for an ice cream truck ! Lol
  21. I think he was booked in to one of @THE STIFFMEISTER safety briefings and just couldn’t face it ?
  22. I get all that chief, obviously I don’t agree with you about “Lads like me” ( I think that’s the first time you’ve mentioned it to be fair ? ) but tomatoe / tomayto mate, you know the score. Im not saying you don’t have to adjust your game against certain teams but you have to have a reference point of how you like the game in my humble opinion and then everything is just an adjustment to that central point…….that’s why I’m not coaching top level football ! Lol But f**k it, it’s what I believe and I’d argue it with Johan Cruyff and still think I was right ! Lol
  23. That’s everyone’s first thought mate but you have to be sensible, we asked the proper people to do their job and they did do their job so the thinking process didn’t need to go beyond that.
  24. Yep, nice sensible way of looking at it and I understand that when all is said and done, football is all just opinions wether you are Pele or Pete from the pub……they are all relevant if they ain’t just fantasy nonsense. You are obviously more familiar with the situation on the ground so I may be way off the mark but I have always been a football optimist in as much as I believe you can achieve good stuff and play nice football with just about any group of players, that way of thinking has dictated how I played, how I coached and how I view football. I understand it’s a bias but I thi
  25. Fair play to the cozzers here, my daughter got followed on an evening out with friends by some Ukrainian when they all first landed here. He was popping into her work as well and making her feel very uncomfortable. It frightened her so she went to the guards and they went round there and told him he wasn’t to go in her work and that if he ever went anywhere near her again they would nick him. They also had a word with the hotel owners where they were all staying and the bloke got moved on shortly after.
