I wasn’t looking for argument either mate. My point was, nobody is going to be breeding many good dogs of various types out of photographs and memories. The big working dogs future is in the hands of lads who couldn’t give two fucks, that is undeniable imho.

One thing I will say, the lads driving fields and posting on Facebook (whatever anyone thinks of it) DID NOT f**k up hunting, Blair, Banks and a million quid did that. As the OP proves it’s a bridge too far now for many lads to hunt lurchers, it’s the lads who are out saying “f**k the old bill” and chucking big machines of dogs out of car windows who will keep honest working lurchers alive……no tidy clean, mortgage and job and family to support lad is going to be doing that any more. No, fair shout mate, I thought you was suggesting that physicality should play no part in football and I just didn’t agree with that. I personally don’t think you can compare contact to non contact myself. I agree that the speed and physicality of some tackles just don’t come over on the tele, and tele is most peoples connection to the game.

Don’t agree with that mate, contact sport is, well, contact ! It gives so many good life lessons about physical and mental robustness….I think watering that down is criminal personally and I don’t blame people one little bit for thinking someone who got a shoulder barge is a minge for rolling around like they have been killed. Yep, fair opinion mate…..not saying I agree totally but I don’t think you are metal for holding those views, it’s all reasonable enough. Very hard to get the nuance of a conversation over in the written word so that’s why these things get a bit 6s & 7s from time to time. There’s no nutritional value in them mate even IF they would eat them which they won’t, nothing does. Lambs May nip at fresh shoots when you cut them but that’s all, not enough to keep them down…..ruminants like grass and clover and all the nice mixed grassland plants….they won’t eat shit. I only have a very basic knowledge about ground water because my fields have an infestation of rushes and I’m no fan of spraying poison on my fields. Rushes create their own environment which gives them best chance to thrive and that involves soil and ground water. So I have spent some time learning about regenerative farm practice in relation to soil etc etc and along with that you get some knowledge of what modern industrial agriculture does to soil structures and what those things mean in reality. Good post mate. Obviously you are at the coal face week in/week out but do you think people are “making demands” ? Im sure some are because that the nature of football but we have always been a pretty humble lot, so is some of it not just lads who just want to see a bit of football ? I know we can get all clever about finances and premier league survival and all that, but putting that aside I have always thought that when it comes down to it people from the areas that would be going down the hammers understand what a bit of proper football looks like and how the game should be p
