Totally get that, at one point I’d have liked to have thought it was true and to some extent I would still like to think that…..BUT…..and it’s a massive but……we have to be careful and consider if that’s just a story we are telling ourselves to make us feel better ? In a very similar discussion with Gnasher a while back he argued with me that 2+2 =4 and always has, can’t say now that I make him wrong.

YES….thats exactly what I want now because our sensible political solution has died in front of our eyes ! It’s the same people with a different badge ! I’ve always preached “why would anyone vote the same and expect different” and that logic is the same today as it ever was. Im not knocking your decision, it’s just my view.

Im a massive believer in you have to let people peacefully protest in their own land however they want, even if that includes disruption or obstruction because the price of not letting them is that one day, we can’t either about a thing that matters to us. Excellent, well thought out post mate. You are spot on with almost every point. Points 4 & 7 are absolute nail on the head. However, I think as I said it’s a case of play silly games etc…..the truth of it is probably the woman and the officer both got it wrong in this particular scenario and if that’s the case, you have to back the people you put in harms way to protect you…..otherwise you end up like us wankers prosecuting old soldiers for perceived wrongs to people who were intent on causing aggro. Theres an interesting line here, first and foremost peoples right to protest however they see fit in their own land…….but also, having the common sense to understand the situation you are in and what your actions may be viewed as by law enforcement who are armed, face all sorts of loons every day and are prepared to use lethal force if they view your actions as putting them or their colleagues in danger. Yesterdays result was written in the stars mate, I don’t see how anyone could have figured it would go any other way…..to be fair, Wolves were unlucky not to score 4 ! As for going down, it would be the healthiest thing for us…..what is it ?, 46 games they play in the championship? 46 games of good, honest, physical football won’t do us any harm.
