At present all my spare time is taken-up making a full sized mole suit using real moleskins. When finished I shall wear it to mole fetish clubs and on my nights off simply wear it while chilling out to my collection of old Velvet Underground albums.

A few years ago l was kindly given some ferrets to replace my aging gang by THL member "Bob the ferret". Sadly this generosity coincided with the dwindling of the bunny population in my area. By the time my ancient workers had reached their use by date there was nothing left for the youngsters to hunt. Hence these particular ferrets had never seen a live rabbit. Today that changed when an old friend asked if l would mind getting rid of a rabbit or two that had been accidentally fenced inside a garden he was about to help landscape . There were about 60 old holes in a b

Wow. This brought back memories ; several familiar faces. I know that Estate. As well running their own game- keeping department the Estate in the video ran the shooting on the ground where l worked . We were a fairly self sufficient department with a brilliant Headkeeper . I'm sure the other lot had more input than l remember , but what sticks in the mind was the day we were accused of unauthorised deer shooting . Somehow they had got wind of shots from a big rifle. A warm discussion involving repeated accusations and strong denials went back and fort

Spent a day on the river as a guest of a very old friend. He caught two good chub . Unfortunately he had a hook pull out of a real big one just before we packed-up. I shall gloss-over my own performance The view from my swim was nice though

The bream was still in exactly the same place last time l walked that way . Its head had been pecked about but apart from that, it had been laying undisturbed for about ten days . I'm leaning towards it being nabbed by a cormorant who maybe found the depth of its body too wide to swallow .

By heavens. Rabbit porn!

Strolling back from a reconnaissance trip ("reconnaissance trip " sounds better than l didn't get anything ) on my stalking permission l let the dog have a shuffle about . Not sure if the farmer who sold Edith to me suspiciously cheaply had a sense of humour or saw me coming. Whatever ,l am definately the owner of a comedy dog . Today's hilarity involved the surreal discovery of a perfectly formed bream in the middle of a field . The nearest water being a quarter of a mile away one can only wonder at the how it got there . Luckily it was frozen solid because she did the dog

There's always a little story Seeing the deer in the area , then being too close for a shot when the chance came and finally having his perseverance pay off!

Did your Dad give you the details ? Like ; did he stalk it , or was he in a seat? There's always a little story worth telling ...

Luckily Edith knows that the mere production of the rifle means that she has to behave like stalking dog. Likewise there are times when she has to live up to her breed designation of sheepdog; not a particularly stylish one .Think of a canine Lemmy from Motörhead rather than the slick things you see on One Man and His Dog. Off duty she gets to follow interesting scents and rummage through brambles in search of stuff. She's pretty hot on woodmice. Today she finally nailed a real prize!

I can see your point of view but in your earlier post you said feeding mixed foods was " a complete no no" . When really it's more a question of timing .
-
I don't get the idea that it's wrong to feed mixer and meat due to " different times" either . Every item of food is going to have a different digestion time . Probably even greater in so called natural feeding. I've always though that mix is good because the dog's digestive system gets used to coping with variety. Come the day meat is short so a bit more biscuit , an extra egg ,tin of mackerel or weird table scraps go onto the mix the gut fauna won't blink an eye . I'm blessed with what l can feed my dogs now ,and for very little money. In the past

What's wrong with different digestion times?

Big fan of the BARF diet apparently

There are times when my garden becomes a bit like feeding time at the zoo . When l do a hogget or a deer all the trimmings, lights, whatever spare offal ,chunks of fat and decent bones are frozen in convenient portions for the dogs and ferrets. In addition the dogs get a cup of cheap mixer a day and sometimes odd scraps or an egg . I've usually got a can or two of El Cheapo Tex Chunks from the local Indian corner shop if l get short of the real stuff or mistimed the defrosting . The dogs do well on it! Feeding mostly raw stuff though makes it really easy to
