In 2021 my lad and his wife lost their Daughter my only grandchild of 18 months after trying for a kid for nearly 10 years. Seeing my son and his wife's hurt was hard and of course the wife and I were devastated not being Grandparents. As it was an ultra rare genetic thing they decided to go down the adoption rout. Well after over a year of foster to adopted a long drawn thing. Finally the last rubber stamp so to speak I'm a Granddad to a lovely little Lad.
