I think Liz Truss wasn't wrong in many ways, just too bullish too quickly..  she certainly upset the apple cart and paid for it... being kept in constant debt is the wish of all the financial markets which in truth control everything.

Leaving the EU was the wish of the majority, how its been handled since is poorly, although the EU have tried to scupper at every opportunity...it was always a long term play and I still believe in the future it will be the right decision, we just need the correct policy makers... Sunak seems to be slowly doing the job imo

Spot on, except for Sunak, and his "Advert".

Cheers, D.

Most need to remember that the "Common Market" was originally just a trading arrangement for the free movement of fresh produce within Europe and the UK. This is what the British people originally voted to join, Only later was it allowed to grow in the Monster it has become today, All without a vote being put to the British public to see if that's what they wanted.

When they were finally given that vote a few years ago, The people spoke but half of the politicians did not want to listen,

The United States of Europe with Germany at the Helm was the vision of another famous German.

This obsession with growth is all linked to amount of money the country has borrowed over the years, It is unsustainable and its about time a plan was put in place to change that model.

I believe we would have still been a member of the EU if that's all we would have allowed it to be a trading agreement . When freedom of movement came into play and thousands came here with their families to areas were the infrastructure was not adequate for thousands more people putting public services under pressure it was imho inevitable that people in these area's would vote for Brexit. I wish someone could tell me the benefit to our country the Roma Slovaks have brought with them if any one thinks they are a benefit to the country I suggest they take a trip to Page Hall in Sheffield or Eastwood in Rotherham.

I also remember our disgraced former MP for Rotherham who i now see often on GB News who was a big fan of the EU and at one time when labour were in power wanted us to change over to the euro . This odious little man and ex convict was another reason i voted for Brexit as everything he supported was not for the betterment of the working class of Rotherham and was more like to keep him on the gravy train like a lot of MPs who wanted us to remain in the EU.
