Code of Silence ITV. Nothing ever worth watching on ITV other the Dickinson's Real Deal, but enjoyed this. Stopped watching UK crime dramas years ago, actors over acting and totally unbelievable whether pretending to be a copper or a criminal. Directors shooting in dramatic low light when at any time the character could just switch a light on or turn the dimmer switch up. The last UK one that I enjoyed was 1st series Cracker with Robbie Coltrane. Most of the USA ones are just as cliched these days.

Enjoyed Code of Silence though. Mostly because of the lead Rose Ayling-Ellis. She is very watchable and has real screen presence. Not sure how many other roles she can play but was perfect for this.

7/10

It's like a mishmash of National Treasure,Uncharted and a large dose of Indiana Jones in the mix,but it doesn't quite work,a bit bland 5/10.

The Banshees of Inisherin: been meaning to watch for awhile, staring Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell, directed by Martin McDonagh, the 3 made In Bruges, 1 of my favourite films.

Didn't work for me. The jokes were funny. But the depressing reality was too depressing. Boredom, isolation, and loneliness. None of the characters were nice, other than the sister Siobhan, dark comedy needs some sympathy for the tragic people, did not get that. At the end was happy enough for them all to chop their fingers off or jump into the lake.
