Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Yeah that would make sense too, either way, I’ll bet the hotel staff had the cause out and away before the ambulance arrived!

Meece 1,958
No doubt the reason will come out in the end and changes / recomendations made but it's a bit late now.

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,711
I read that on Xmas ever when it happened what an absolutely horrendous thing to happen I would say somethings electrical or toxic seems to be involved surely the pool filter or fan wouldn’t be strong enough to kill a grown man ?? That was my initial thought
.357shooter 1,351
it could have been the girl got stuck underwater somehow and you would not give up yourselves to save your own daughter and whilst not thinking straight(panicking)you also stayed under too long
Arry 24,398
I don't know for sure but that pool dose not look deep and three people get into trouble. Also I think somebody said a hotel worker also got into trouble trying to rescue them al seems odd to me unless some other factor is in play here. Cheers Arry
fred90 3,357
it all sounds very odd. I stayed there a few years ago nice complex I was there in November certainly wasn't warm enough for swimming.
Meece 1,958
It's all conjecture. The authorities will sort it. Get ready to go out shooting and hunting.
Bosun11 537
Swimming is a LIFE SKILL and should always be a priority for parents to ensure children are compitent... A total tragedy, such a shame BUT there is NO requirement by law for a Lifeguard to be present. As it stands in the UK all that is required is prominent bather notices, as have most UK hotels and holiday parks. I would say this is not the case everywhere abroad but i have seen hotel signage myself. Most family hotel pools are under 6 feet deep and most average hight adults that can't swim so well can 'bob' off the bottom comfortably. IMO, the cold (out of season) and the panic of poor swimmers would/could of led to this... So very sad if that is the case.

Accip74 7,112
Have to confess I’m not a good swimmer. My dad was a great swimmer, my brother & sister too, but something didn’t click with me for some reason & I’ve never really bothered since. Therefore now I’m terrified of my young kids going near water in case I can’t handle a situation. The boy is getting swimming lessons at school, but I know I should really sort myself out.... Arry 24,398
I think I heard this right that the Father and the Son where both 100cm taller than the deepest part of the pool. Police say no need for a farther investigation as it was a freak accident. Think I smell a rat. Cheers Arry
