Guard dogs

Recommended Posts

Without sounding all cloak and dagger, very rich heritage behind him,I wouldn’t put that into detail on here as it’s for the owner to do if he wishes. He said I could share this photo,as I figured you also would appreciate an eyefull!

Feck feeding another dog , just put up a couple of Isis flags .. got the police watching my house 24/7 now ?

I married a Northern lass good with kids bit agressive around house & can cook. No one visits anymore. Atb

If you want a yard dog and something to guard your kennels i personally dont think you can beat a well bred bandog type.Naturally territorial, generally not dog aggressive if properly socialised, physic

No...lol,but the bitch he recently attempted to put him over is the granddaughter of a very famous Irish dog.Now it really is getting cloak and dagger!!My main reason for sharing his photo was because he’s a great guard,I have met a bloke this way who has three Presas ,two imported from Spain, now they are indeed great guards but what a handful to manage, this boy is spot on and still remains very social ,the presas were not at all social, even the father in law is unwelcome unless the son is there to manage them. All about breeding I guess once again.

I’m coming from a narrow field, the best bulldog I’ve laid eyes on and the only Presas I have seen in the flesh, but the difference is chalk and cheese and the bulldogs athleticism...special.Dog porn ,simple.

Like Ive said in a previous post I wouldn't have one of them Presa's as a gift.Ive known a few now that have ended up turning bad on their owners Pal of mine had one and it put his 4month pregnant missus in hospital for the rest of her pregnancy and the next 4/years having skin grafts and it was only luck that 2 other fellas I know were working 2 gardens away and heard a commotion and jumped over and beat it off of her with spades that it didnt kill her. Also know of a couple of very experienced trainers that have seen the same type of scenario coming and put dogs down in fact I believe one was lucky enough to have one on a long lead and managed to hang it when it started to flip on him one day.People are starting to cross them into bandogs now and i think its taking away the true traditional bandog temperament.

Why someone would leave their wife, let alone pregnant, with something like that is beyond me.

I like most dogs and when I first saw his Presas I thought I want one, maybe three lol. After being on his property for a while and his father in law telling me he can’t visit his daughter unless the owners there I thought maybe not.Level of management is beyond me and to be successful as he seemed to be was a level of responsibility I haven’t seen with any other breed.Beautiful dogs and better than anything I have seen advertised, his misses seemed secure in having them and they had plenty of space that was fenced in obviously. One was dark brindle the other two that sandy brindle, they made an impression.

He only had it as a pet.It hadnt done any protection work or shown an over aggresion up untill that day.Apparently she oppened the back door to let their English bulldog out and as it tried to push its way in she pushed it back and it just grabbed her and dragged her into the garden and started mangling her.Hed had othe mastiffs in the past and when a few years before he told me he was getting one I tried warning him off but apparently he'd seen loads and they were all great.

All the people I mentioned in the above post were secure in owning the dogs they had untill the day the fuckers decided to flip out.Luckily a few were experienced enough to see it coming and deal with them before the shit hit the fan. When you get something with the aggression/ability/size/rank dominance and then couple all them things with the drive that some of them presa's have if shit goes wrong it dont matter how big or how good you think you are your f**ked.

Mr Down south my buddy who I posted his presa. He also has 2 Caucasian mtn dogs.He lives in the middle of the woods by himself. He keeps a pistol on his side. Not for Intruders but to save his life in case it goes bad.He recommends all owners do the same.I could have all these dogs I want but none are here. They are dangerous.he had major surgery about a month ago.The mtn dogs will allow me to feed them as they know me the damn Presa took some sweet talking just to feed the damn pup.

Over the last 20years ive had American bulldogs, gamebred bulldogs and now keep taditionally bred bandogs and worked with all of them in protection type work so its not like im frightened of dogs or get wrapped up in the hype you hear in the media about guardian/Working breeds. And sure you can get the odd bad egg in any breed or dogs that end up with the wrong owners or in bad situations and accidents happen But ive witnessed and known to many sensible people that have owned presa's that were just born bad.My personal opinion is they have no place in a country as small and as highly populated as the UK.

Well I've been truly put off the presa lol

I'm looking for a new dog just not somewhat to get.

Scott aint no C**t around a dog and ive seen him work with dogs that I didnt even want to be in the vicinity of and when I asked him where that black dog had gone he said that it was pushing its luck too much and it was only just turning 18months.When youve got a dog 28inches and athletic at 130lb with bad intentions it aint gunna be long before youre in a world of trouble.

Don’t know how to put your comments up Downsouth but I hear you!Agree as well ,certainly wondered how there getting on.The lad with the bulldog has never sold a pup,all placed and has  coughed up a lot of money to get some pups in the right place so he has access further down the line.

Did he send the black dog to someone else or did he put in the ground?
