Plenty of salt and plenty of vinegar. Only problem around here is you can't get decent fish and chips as all the chip shops are owned by ethnics. Fish with overly thick batter to make it look big means the batter isn't cooked properly on the inside, it's stodge. Gone are the days of thick lumps of cod with flakes the size of half crowns, chips are always pale and soft.
