It always shocks me a bit looking at shows from the 60's & 70's people would be jailed now for the casual racism and domestic violence and rape humour. There was a programe on channel 4 a while ago about it. They showed a clip of a show, and the man was chasing a woman around the house basically saying he was going to rape her and when he caught her he slapped her about a bit and there was canned laughter in the background and they put it across as good humour but there was a very sinister feel to it.
