Anyone Know Much About Bullmastiffs?

Recommended Posts

John from Hunter kennels doesn't keep neopolitans anymore but a lad down near me has 3 or 4 down from his stuff.Hes into the Cane Corsos now which share a lot of common ancestry with the neos bother being from Italy.Never knew he had anything to do with Alanos.Ive only seen a handful of them and they were all shit they are just another one of these next best things that come with a load of bullshit and hype and a 2k price tag.

Hmm I wouldn't say straight bull mastiff myself, she's got the markings, but her head looks boxer like?!? That said, I'm not all that clued up on these breeds. Nice bitch nonetheless

The group of lads I train with try to put our dogs under different types of mental stress and pressure whilst doing protection work ie smoke bombs,chainsaws/leaf blowers revved in their faces, working

We've got a couple of venues that we use but my favourite is a disused nightclub in East London where our main decoy sometimes does night security to stop people getting in and squatting as this ha

How come he dont bother with them no more? Photos from the past before the breed was ruined they looked impressive dogs. Are their heads huge in real life? In photos they seem it and even some of the bandog crosses seem to carry that over.

f**k me been killing me but kept thinking someone else would ask. Any photos of the bandogs?

Bollocks to that....i came into contact with one of these Bandog things yesterday they,re not my cuppa tea at all !......big slobbery f****r it was like a scatty Staff on Ephedrine it just wouldnt relax......when i heard the breeding of it i had to wonder what possible use that type of dog could have in a pet home,it was a decent looking animal in good nick but was so charged up all the time it didnt strike me as having much in the brains department and i can see how dogs like this would catch on in popularity for the street hoodlum types.....ive been around plenty of nasty dogs but this thing frightened the f****n life out of me i just didnt feel at ease at all even after we,d got past the patting/stroking/getting to know each other stage......big impressive powerfully made dog though......just not for me at this stage of life.

The thing is those breeds are very different, you just can't know what way it'll throw surely?

I've seen one try to do it's owner in for throwing a tennis ball,it had the best upbringing any dog could have,as well as few other unstable mutts.

There are breeds of dog that are finely honed and have been bred for 100's of years to protect people.

That's Oundle the complete opposite to every proper bandog I've come across. But then you've got bandogs and then you've got big old crossbred mutts. And that's the problem a lot of people don't understand what a true bandog is and how they should behave and there's a lot of people out there just throwing mish mashes of large breeds together and calling them bandogs. Its a bit like all these look at me I'm hard red nose crossbred mungrels about that you know aint any more a bulldog than the man in the moon but you try telling their soppy owners that.

Im sure your right and im possibly being a touch unfair in my dismissal of the dog i think it just made me realise these big guarding type breeds will just be far too much dog for where im going the owner was a knowledgeable chap who knows dogs and was respected in another breed so if this is his ideal then so be it all breeds have differing opinions of good and bad but i think even a good one is the old sledgehammer to tap a nail in scenario for my situation.......must admit ive not seen dogs of these type wandering around attached to little wannabe street hoodlum types so i guess they are being bred responsibly i simply meant i could see the attraction for that type of person.........anyway i think a nice little cockapomerpoodle might be more my thing :D

I agree with you neems.he said he ran the whole litter on picked 1 and culled the rest and he didn't want any of them going to anyone.

fair play mate . unfortunately I don't think it will be too long before these dogs start getting a bad name as theres already tossers out there producing crap and labeling them as bandogs to sell to idiots who want a big hard dog.

Get a bull x grey gnash, very few things they can't do well

pointless if you dont hunt

Whys that then cant a bull/grey be of benefit as a normal " pal " type dog wandering the hills and mountains ....or will they only flourish if regularly killing stuff ?

As a seeker of truths and in order to establish some veracity of facts ,  yesterday I carried out a what’s app football questionnaire.
In order to maintain impartiality , I’ve awaited until the final results are in.... and it makes for interesting reading .
The conditions were set for a level playing field .reams of questions were filtered through however I decided on three questions alone to maintain ease of answer via the polling method of what’s app.
      1. Who in your opinion are the top 6 English football clubs regardless of league or current table position?
      2. Who would you say are the biggest English league side outwith big 6 ?
      3. Who is the bigger club Newcastle or Sunderland?
Answer in your opinion , no right or wrong .
Each question was asked individually, as in only when they Had responded to the first was the second sent and so on
the demographic was chosen with the following constraints
      1. No fans of either Sunderland or Newcastle were chosen to be questioned.
      2. I selected 20 people in order to make it a fair pool of people and to make % mathematics easier.
      3. All 20 lads are guys i have played football with or discussed football with at length.
      4. No members of the hunting life .
      5. 10 born and raised south of Birmingham . Including 2 welsh lads. 10 born north of Birmingham . Including 2 Scottish lads.
      6. All agreed to have the conversations and their findings included in the survey .
So with no further delay , is anyone interested in reading the results ?
Any ideas on how I could have set conditions to a fairer test?
