*The*Field*Marshall* 674
Walshie, I fancy you are a man of significance far beyond the realm of the hunting life! You have to have something to offer to be invited in!! I've got associates in there, they deny the stigma attached to the lodge. You hear some stuff, but only those at the top will know the truth of the organization. . A bit like JW I was interrogating one day, when questioning of his own faith I asked him "who is the current president of your organization? He said "we don't have one"! Oh yes you do friend, as I gave his name.
dare 1,103
When i think of symbols and all that jazz cant help but think of aleister crowley. My dad tried to make me watch something about him once. Didnt even give it any time of day though but seemed a pretty sick bloke. Kenny noye was a mason remember a documentry the copper who interviewed him said noye shaked his hand in the hope of getting some kind of deal. Guessing the copper must be a mason aswell because i wouldnt have a clue what their dodgt handshake is. Apart from giving money to charity and networking what else do they do and whats the point? Dont see why youd need to be in some sort of club to do either. If you want things done money talks. Another strange thing is that Scientology rubbish. Bloke who invented it meant to have wrote scifi books and lived on dog food for a period of time lol. Wouldnt mind having my own cult and earning some money off people so stupid they dont deserve it lol.

jacknife 2,005
I remember when I was asked....it wasn't a case of do you want to join he offered to put my name forward Is that the only way to get in to be nominated by a member I've often thought about It as the invitation still stands but I just don't have the time as I'm sure its not just like being a member of BASC

neil cooney 10,416
For a discreet, secret organisation this thread makes it look like the worlds worst kept secret. I'm beginning to think it's rarer to not be a mason.
Francie 6,368
Why do people think it's all a big secret, because there up to no good, maybe the lower degrees no, but higher up yes.
IshotRogerRabbit 46
Another popular misconception. It's not a secret society...it's a society with secrets 1
pesky1972 5,634
Not a mason but know quite a few who are in them. The majority of those I know are knobs..., and probably the last people I'd trust with a secret. The thought that these people are in any way more 'enlightened' than me is fcuking laughable. One exception is my good mate and fishing buddy. He joined because his dad and brothers are in them, but don't think he's been in a while. Straightforward guy my mate, who doesn't suffer idiots, and when I asked him what it was all about he said "it's a load of sh!te and most of the guys there are ar$eholes". He didn't give much else away mind....
