dytkos 17,918
My old man was one (103 tomorrow if he was still alive) I was invited to apply when I turned 18 (probably off dads back lol) I said no way, they do/did a lot of good, mother still got gifts, calls, invites etc 30 years after his death and they gave lots of money to Local worthy causes but that secret shit I heard being practised, attache case with stuff in creeped me out tbh. Could say more but its secret Cheers, D. When dad passed on, nigh on 40 years back me and ma sorted his stuff, the masons stuff was seen and read by me, strange tbh, I passed it on to fella I worked with who'd just joined, it was "never to be discussed again" ffs Cheers, D. Mickey Finn 3,081
For a discreet, secret organisation this thread makes it look like the worlds worst kept secret. I'm beginning to think it's rarer to not be a mason. They have a customized license plate over here. Everyone has come out I guess.

tinytiger 872
No, never been invited (what does that say about me?) nor know anyone who is a Mason. Been out with a few girls in the past who's fathers 'were on the square' and funnily enough they were the fathers that really didn't like me much. All their daughters went on to marry Masons...! Read a few books on the subject, funny 'ol lot and not to be trusted...maybe your not enough of a kunt Walshie, where did you get the idea for this thred..? lol

Waz 4,293
My Grandad was a mason, and a grandmaster at his lodge, according to my old fellah was the oldest lodge in London. Find it intruiging, dont think it goes on where I am now. My Nan used to speak very highly of my grandads lodge and the support they showed when he was ill and at his funeral etc. Edited September 11, 2015 by Columbo
