I agree they just need steering in the right direction.but I've always hung a (dead/shot)fox on the outside of my dog runs as pups-they seem to have a disliking to them and enter when there's one at home.works for me instead of spoiling them in a stop end :)atb dc

The same as ziggy my biggest influence was my dad, butI wish I'd dug more as an adult with my uncle Tommy King-I remember bits and bobs as a kid and listening to him,had my first pair of russells at 10 from him.I remember going to see him with my dad after he had had a series of strokes.my oldman told me to load up my terriers to show him as I hadn't seen him for 15 yrs or more.you could just see the passion in his eyes when we tipped up and pegged the dogs out on his lawn,even though he had problems talking from the strokes-he was proud as punch to see my blackdogs and their offspring-I swear

as pups i never ever encouraged them to bush or chase them -lucky theres no rabbits close to where i live and the only holes hold the intended quarry ,have always tried to break my dogs to rabbit,been present when other folk have opened up to their dog chewing one-but touch wood never my own dogs-that's a shooting offence imo.atb dc
