  1. It's rained most of the piggin' day here Despite my best efforts to entertain the sprogs (apparently Mummy is no good at the Wii ), things got hairy in here after tea and mutiny was looming. So I packed everybody up and set them loose for a couple of hours in the late warm evening. It was a nice sedate stroll - I only had to shout at them twice Just a couple of pics of the brood I call my own Nowt special, just something to share on this oh-so-long and boring Saturday night
  2. Not to sound, ummm, gross, but you need to ask your mate if there's a smell to the discharge. Has he checked her for a temp? Better safe than sorry, discharge after a season, mated or not, I'd get her to a vet. Pyometra could be the cause.
  3. My whippet has a penchant for bird sh!t. He rolls in it, but usually gives himself grass stains at the same time. Comes home looking like he's decorated himself Rambo stylee. They do have a high comedy value, to be sure

    ????????

its only 3 week in this one You've only been with her for three weeks and you're already having sex? You tart! Shame on you
  5. Um ... that's gross! Si you just have to creep right over the top, don't you?
  6. Um excuse me but is that you offering my job to someone else already? You tart! Excellent shots blackstaff
  7. Spot on, cruelty is very subjective Ask Darcy - his reaction when he saw it was classic I'm sure the neighbours heard him
  8. How old is it? Is it well exercised etc.? It might just be bored/lonely. I'd try getting some big marrow bones from the butcher for it to chew. Or get one of those kongs, stuff it with plain yogurt, tuna, soaked biscuit, then freeze it. A frozen well stuffed kong will keep a dog busy for yonks! It's worth a try at any rate
  9. Happiness is reading a post like this. One man's trash is another's treasure, as they say. I get the feeling she'll round out your bunch nicely. Best of luck with her
  10. On the flip side, there are plenty of people who do DIY treatments - and would have a hard time tying their shoe laces, never mind suturing and other wound management. It can be dangerous and cause a lot of pain to the animal. Because you have to admit there are plenty of animals out there - livestock, pets, workers - who are very badly treated. Who's to look out for them and help educate the keepers? The aRSePCA are a shower of b*****ds and shouldn't be in any authority ...but there is a definite gap in the order of things to help animals who need it, and the owners who deserve honest help in
  11. My neighbours have an overweight dalmation. Wait, I should correct myself ... an OBESE dalmation. It's so fat it's legs flare out when it walks, which is more a waddle. It's so blubbery you can see the motion of the fat when it moves. Nobody seems to be bothered by that - it's a bloody disgrace.
  12. The RSPCA object to staplers? Interesting, since they seem to like using bolt guns. Bunch of d!cks.
  13. I'm not American but we had a wolf hybrid as a pet. Not all people with hybrids are stupid (tho I confess I have my moments ) We got ours from a native reserve in Northern Ontario. We didn't go looking for her, she picked out my step dad as her human and that was it. He was camping there, as he was close to the natives and spent a lot of time with them. They had their pack of dogs, who bred as and when, and that pup decided she wanted to be with him so he let her. She was an infinitely interesting creature. Very hard to train in some ways. But we took her for what she was, and treated
  14. I've been here long enough to notice a real progression in ... um ... knobs, to be blunt. A thoughtful, interesting and honest post on here soon spirals into drivel, with folks quoting up to ten posts in their reply, arguing, or taking the piss. And then the OP gets totally forgotten. It's a shame. Used to be you could read some really interesting stuff on here, discuss it, ask questions, learn something. Now it's mostly arguments, promises to bum each other, talk about gigantic tits, or post after post of intensely boring photos of birds
  15. Very pleased that things are going well so far. Long may it continue. I'm looking forward to that thread - the lampost lurcher - well done looking after her
  16. i had a none ped whippet bitch, she was 20in 20lb . She was a great little dog good rabbits in the day, and good in the lamp. I have seen some males 22in 30lb in weight, tough little buggers would tackle any fox. None peds are great, more so if you have a 1/4 of bull in there as well I got a ped male, about 22.5 tts and weighs 36-38.5. Very strong for a whippet. Id, have you got a picture of that dog? ... sounds around the same as mine. Ped, but a big strong solid thing. Same height, slightly lighter than yours.
  17. So where all these jackers now????? still running in the field !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEAVE THEM WHERE THEY JACK. ONCE A JACKER WHEN THEY GET UNDER PRESSURE THEY WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN FACT :wankerzo4:
  18. Fantastic Matthew, well done indeed! I liked all those shots. And the second one on the ballet project of the girls on point is grand. Thanks for sharing that
  19. This happened to me once, locally - when I was still naive enough to believe I could let my dogs off in the field near my house. I went knocking to find out who it belonged to, fessed up to the owner, took what was coming, and apologised genuinely. If it were my cat I'd want to know. And if you flatten it with your car it's not going to erase the bite marks - I'd be nosey enough to check.
  20. lol, are you trying to say i dont walk it.... Anyway thats besides the point... It is the case, they flock with other birds but not other tree creepers... so to see a good number is very unusual.. Um no that's not what I meant
  21. Imo Eukanuba is over priced shyte. Compare the ingredients to your average priced dog food and you'll see it's no better. But you pay double for it. Mine get raw meat of varying kinds, veg, tripe, butcher scraps, cod liver oil, pilchards in tomato sauce, and plain old cheap-ass biscuits
  22. :11: ... I giggled all the way through that I think Hannah should have one!
  23. sounds to me like that dog got hypoglysemia not jacked ,,, its blood sugar has gotten to low for the amount of running that was asked of it.... not evry dog has the same amount of wind in the tank, after all there flesh and blood not machines. Would you say, Tomo, that a fair few people don't know that (sadly) and call a dog a jacker when, in fact, it isn't?
  24. Looks like a thrush egg to me. Can you see a nest anywhere near by?
