  1. Snoop said he thought it's on back end of Aug? We were talking about it last night.
  2. Cameron has nothing left to give - he gave it all to figgin' pakistan!
  3. I heard a rumour today that they're planning a full week strike in October - that'll be right around the first half term break of the year. Convenient, they can use the money they should be paying into their pensions and have a longer holiday abroad.
  4. Jesus wept Troy - DON'T DO IT! Just ignore her, she's insane and she talks complete bollocks. It's probably not a great thing that dog is roaming about unsupervised. If that were my bitch he'd had a go at, there'd have been a massive bust up - and I've have been well angry about it. If it'd been my whippet he'd have probably humped the fooker right back But it seems to me the vizla wasn't right bothered, he was just playing. To be honest I found your hysterical giggling much funnier than the humping
  5. I was just about to post a similar thread! 14 weeks - or thereabouts - holiday. Plus tacked on 'training' days. And they're boo-hooing about having to work longer. WTF?! Everybody else has to pay into their pensions, why shouldn't they? I might feel more supportive if teachers were in it for the right reasons. If they really did want to make a difference, if every single kid in their classes mattered. If they used some of their half term breaks for training and lesson planning. But it seems to me that the vast majority of them go into the work because of the holidays. Well winds
  6. wow that is some read it's like one of them puzzles....rearrange these words to make a story! Maybe it's some kind of secret code
  7. She'd have come in handy for me yesterday when I was pruning the cherry tree out front
  8. wow that is some read It's like a nightmare fairytale combo with no punctuation
  9. I did once let the lurcher off - she's positively mental. That ended the confrontation sharpish
  10. Me too Si. Mine on lead, charged by an off lead and offensive, fat ass springer ... Me: Call your dog back please. Owner: Oh, he's ok he just wants to play (whilst texting) Me: I said call your dog back, do it now. Owner: (Still texting) Me: Call your dog back NOW or it'll get a swift kick up the backside (whilst it's starting a fight with one of mine) Owner: You can't kick my dog! Me: Too late! I loathe them, I really do. And it seems like, these days, I have to go further and further afield to avoid stupid humans.
  11. I get this ALL the time! It creases me right up. Yes I have three kids, and now three dogs. But it's interesting that mine are all behaving whilst their one dog slavers, leaps and lunges Sometimes they'll say 'yours are so well behaved'. Thanks, yes they are. I exercise them, train them, and diligently manage them. I blame Disney for most people's attitude towards dogs. According to Disney dogs all come out of a box, nice and pretty. They all behave, they're all very smart, they are toilet trained from day one, and can always save the day! You don't have to feed them often - they can d
  12. Including mad Canadians and their brood This one was not at mine thank god....i draw the line at wild birds messing up the house....... ooops sorry i take that back i did allow you here Birds and feathers, honey Millet that sunbathing pic is ace
  13. Give him a firm 'no' then offer him something he likes ... a toy, or ball, to play with. When he plays with what you offer, lots of praise and/or treat. Keep repeating it, he'll get the idea. Just a young silly git at the mo
  14. There's a blue face I haven't seen for ages! ..... wait on, is that the pup out of Jazz you've used? Last time I saw him he was romping round like a loon Good luck with it all
  15. I take my young pup out and about in a canvass bag I wear across my front He comes on the school run, or shorter mooches ... like Skycat says, sights, sounds, meeting people etc are just as, if not more important than the exercise. Mentally, for a young fella, he's fair sound and easy going. It makes a big difference. Today, tho, he spent the day in the sunny garden and he's just as shattered as he is after being toted to the Spar for a pack of fags and a fuss by the staff there
  16. Thank you Sean I am ever so slightly chuffed with them, I must say
  17. If it's Moll's garden, do you really have to wonder why it's so tame and relaxed? Hers is the Critter's Rest and Retreat, open to all who should limp/fly/crawl/hop/lope by and require companionship or tlc It's a magical place! Lovely lovely capture too, nice clear eye on the bird
  18. Lovely shots Millet I hear peckers in the woods all around here, all the time. I even know some of their favourite spots but I can never get close enough for a good clear shot. Might be because the dogs/kids are always pounding around scaring everything in sight
  19. I held the skins up and did a sort of Peter Rabbit sketch, where the rabbits panicked in high pitched voices when the Big Bad Lurcher was chasing them. I still laugh Neighbour, tho, not so much They've changed so much Millet. And they ask about you an awful lot. There's pictures of you with them on my screen saver, so they don't forget the wacky bloke who drove the tractor! It's so friggin hot out today. I've been on laundry duty and just went out to see: one lurcher flaked on the grass, one whippet on the paving, one terrier in a coma under the hedge, and three kids scatter
  20. They're fine with it - not bothered at all. I had to learn same time as them, so they're not squeamish about it. In fact once I used two skins with the heads still on for a puppet show - had them in stitches but my neighbour was horrified  The pic in my signature was taken a long time ago, it was the first time my bitch caught in front of the girls. They clapped and then argued over who would carry the rabbit home. They're good kids - I'm not shy about my pride in them. Blan the brindle and white is Dennis, my ped whippet (I call him frankenwhippet, he's huge ). He's just two and
  21. Thanks Brickie Mine spend the vast majority of their time outside dashing about. Of course it's healthy for them, they spend time with the dogs, learning about wildlife etc., but mostly it wears them out so I can get them into bed at a decent hour
  22. She is Moll - you just wait, she'll be doing your hair and borrowing your makeup when we get up there Thanks for the nice comments all They are a good bunch. Keeps me busy, three of each, but busy is better than bored. They're my joy, each of them - the dogs nearly as much as the sprogs 2Bob the terrier is pretty much a jrt/border cross, but there could be other bits in him. He's a proper little cracker too.
